Sparkle of the Season for PP570

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Jaydee is hosting our monthly Theme Challenge.
Well, technically it IS winter for so many….but not here in South Texas. We have the air conditioning on! It’s not terribly hot right now in the high 70’s, however the humidity has been REALLY high this week. I guess it could be worse, right? (Thinking back to the ice storm this past February that basically shut down the city for a week….) It just doesn’t feel like “December weather”, but thankfully making holiday cards gets me right in the spirit of the season!

For this Theme Challenge I grabbed one of my favorites in the August - December Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog, the Sparkle of the Season stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Swirls Dies. Both will be retiring really soon and the dies are on sale right now. So, if you are thinking about getting them, now is the time! :)

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
I decided to used the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper since it coordinated so well with the leafy sprigs on the wreath. I also used the Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum for one layer of the wreath which really adds a wonderful pop of sparkle which is tough to see in the photos. Of course, I also added some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the little stars on the Real Red wreath, because well, you can never have too much sparkle.

Positive Inkers Global Design Team - December 2021

Hello there and Happy December to you! I’m thrilled to be blog hopping today with the Positive Inkers Global Design TeamWe are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the globe who are super-excited to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!

If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in San Antonio, Texas. Welcome!
Our theme for the month is CHRISTMAS and I decided to use the Classic Cloche stamp set and coordinating Cloche Dies for my card. I’ve had this bundle for a while now and finally decided to ink it up over the weekend. It’s been on my desk ever since and I’ve really been having some fun creating with this set.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my cards below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
Creating this snowy scene was super-easy because the stamps do all of the work! I started out by stamping the outline of the cloche and from there built the little “village". First, I stamped the main image in Momento ink, then I stamped the “house fillers” in Real Red, and the trees and “frosty/tree detail” in Pool Party There is just something about Real Red and Pool Party for holiday cards. It’s such a fresh and fun color combo!

I accented the top of the houses and the snowy drifts with Wink of Stella and the sparkly detail is fantastic in-person. There is a little pop of texture in the background layer and I heat embossed the sentiment to really make it pop. The silver sequins were the finishing touch. The Cloche Dies also have some trees in various sizes which are awesome to accent the focal images.
Card Measurements & Details:
