April 2023 - Stamping Sunday Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends! Today, I’m super-excited to share the April 2023 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. We share on the second Sunday of every month.

Our theme for the month is “From Little Seeds” where we are each sharing projects revolving around the Spring or Fall seasons. I’m doing a lot of planting in my yard right now, so this theme really resonated with me. There are always beautiful projects from the team sure to inspire your creativity. Welcome, I’m so happy you are here today!
For my project, I decided to create my card with the fabulous Cheerful Daisies Bundle. This product will be part of a new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up!® starting May 2nd, 2023. As a Demonstrator, I was able to preorder the product early and it just arrived to me last week. I couldn’t wait to start creating with it!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my projects below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post
Oh, how I love to pre-order new products! The Cheerful Daisies Bundle is so beautiful and perfect for so many occasions. It is always so exciting to play with new stamps…and new COLORS! This card features two of the new 2023-2025 In Colors: Pebbled Path (sentiment label) and Wild Wheat (sprig die-cuts). They are also featured in the new Fresh As a Daisy Designer Series Paper along with a new color: Lemon Lolly. That’s the lighter yellow in the DSP. Wouldn’t you know, I forgot to order it on my original preorder. And I’ve placed three orders since last Tuesday and still forgot to add it. Grrr! BUT Crushed Curry is also featured in this pattern, so I went with that and I think it looks pretty good.
I also used the Scalloped Contours Dies and Stylish Shapes Dies which are two of my all-time favorites. They are so versatile, I use them SO much. One thing that’s a little tough to see in the photos is that I layered two of the die-cut daisies together and popped them up with a Stampin Dimensional. The top layer daisy is brushed with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (or “Stink of Wella” as I refer to it thanks to my friend Juliene). I stamped the center of the flower and popped that up on Stampin’ Dimensionals, too. This card is pretty “fluffy” in-person which I love!
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Garden Green Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Fresh As a Daisy Designer Series Paper (coming 5/2): 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 1-1/2”, die-cut scalloped border from Scalloped Contours Dies
  • Vellum Cardstock: scrap to die-cut the largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Scraps of Garden Green, Wild Wheat, Basic White for die-cutting the layered daisy and foliage
  • Pebbled Path Cardstock: scrap to die-cut sentiment label from Cheerful Daisies Dies, heat emboss sentiment
  • Brushed Brass Butterflies
  • Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”, stamp sentiment is Pebbled Path ink and flowers in Crushed Curry ink
  • Fresh As a Daisy Designer Series Paper (card interior, coming 5/2): 3/8” x 5-1/4”
Here is a look inside the card! I simply added another strip of that gorgeous DSP along with a stamped sentiment and floral image. I always need birthday cards and this one is sure to bring a smile to the recipient.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today using the upcoming Cheerful Daisies Bundle! Please continue along on the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop to check out more awesome creative inspiration filled with lots of beautiful projects.

Easter Bunny for PP633

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, I’m super-excited to be hosting our Sketch Challenge.
If you have visited me before, you might know that Sketch Challenges are my absolute favorite. When I designed this sketch, I wanted it to be fun to show off different patterned paper and/or texture. But you can do anything that speaks to you with this one. You can add as many or as few layers as you’d like, just have some fun with the layout.

I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create with this sketch!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
For any Sketch Challenge, I just let the layout guide me to the stamps and papers to use. I settled on the Easter Bunny stamp set and coordinating punch. Easter is right around the corner and I still need a few cards to mail out next week.

I simply punched out a little bunny from Kraft Paper, shaded around the edges and popped in some fun patterns from two different paper packs. There is also texture from the Gingham Embossing folder on the Basic White Layer.

Just a little FYI, the bunny punch is currently un-orderable but WILL be back in stock.
No Bunny Punch, No Problem: If you didn’t get the bunny punch or are waiting for it to return, don’t worry. You can still make an adorable card with another bunny image from the set. Truth be told, this is my favorite bunny from the set. It’s the little floppy ear that does it! I simply stamped her in Memento ink, colored her with Stampin’ Blends and fussy-cut her. I’m usually avoid fussy-cutting, but this image doesn’t stress me out.

I love how the two cards have the same layout, yet look so different because of the focal image, don’t you?
Card Measurements & Details:
  • Petal Pink Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, score at 5-1/2”
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-1/8” x 4-3/8”, emboss with Gingham Embossing Folder
  • Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper: 1-3/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper: 1-3/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Vellum Cardstock: scrap to die cut the second largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Kraft Paper Pack: scrap to punch bunny, then ink up edges with a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink.
  • Petal Pink Cardstock: scrap to punch the smallest flower from the Petal Park Punch (sorry, I forgot to add the punch to the product list at the end of the post)
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 3-3/4” x 1/2” stamp sentiment in Messy Meadow ink and punch right side with Banners Pick a Punch
  • Champagne Rhinestones & Linen Thread
  • Basic White (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper: 1/2” x 5-1/4”
Finally a peek inside the card! I kept things simple with a little strip of coordinating DSP, a stamped sentiment and a little butterfly image. I stamped the butterfly in Mossy Meadow ink and colored it in with Petal Pink and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. Just a little added detail but I think it adds so much to the completed card.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for my  Sketch ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday March 31st, 2023
