I was so excited for this challenge as I have some really special thank you cards to make and it was the perfect opportunity to use some of my favorite Fall products: the Beautiful Autumn stamp set and Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. I LOVE this paper! Gorgeous fall colors and pop of metallic foil…swoon! I especially love the elegant look of Mint Macaron paired with copper foil accents.

For this card, I used a few other products from this Suite, including the Brushed Metallic Cardstock and Basket Weave/Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack. I also added some embossed details to the layers to really play off all of the textures throughout the card. I also snuck in some leafy branches from the Sunflower Dies for some added “foliage”. I use those little branches a LOT because they add just that little bit of extra detail without being too bulky.
The sentiment and the Mint Macaron leaves are stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using copper embossing powder. Guess what? I didn’t remember until I was putting together the supply list for this card that copper embossing powder is RETIRED. However, it is not a difficult product to find out there in the crafty world, so I’m sure you could easily track some down if you don’t have any. You could always use Soft Suede ink as an alternative, too. Easy solution!
Card Measurements and Details:
- Mint Macaron Card Base: 4 1/4” x 11”, scored at 5 1/2”
- Soft Suede Cardstock: 4” x 5 1/4”
- Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
- Brushed Metallic Foil (copper): 2 1/2” x 3 7/8”, emboss using Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and cut at an angle to layer over the DSP
- Mint Macaron Cardstock: 2 1/4” x 1 1/2”, emboss using floral pattern from Greenery Embossing Folder, cut at an angle to layer over the DSP and sponge edges using Soft Suede ink
- Vellum Cardstock: scrap to die cut three single leafy sprigs and one double leafy sprigs from the Sunflowers Dies
- Mint Macaron Cardstock: scrap to stamp three of the leafy images in Versamark Ink, heat emboss in copper, then cut the leaves out of the cardstock leaving a slightly border around the outside of the images
- Whisper White Cardstock: scrap to stamp the sentiment in Versamark Ink, heat emboss in copper and then die cut using the 2 3/4” (second largest) oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies
- Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack and Champagne Rhinestones
- Whisper White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5 1/4”
- Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (inside card): 1” x 5 1/4"
Finally a peek inside the card. I added a strip of that gorgeous DSP along with an embossed sentiment and leaf accent. Simple, yet so pretty!
