Toil and Trouble Suite for Facebook Live

Hello and Happy Thursday! Here are the projects that I featured on my Facebook Live earlier today. I fam hooked on Halloween projects right now! I have two cards and a treat holder to share with you today. I wanted to focus on the Toil and Trouble Bundle in the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday catalog, along with adding in some other stamps and accessories that weren’t necessarily featured as "Halloween items.”

I have a free PDF linked at the end of this post that shares all of the measurements and a full supply list for all of the projects.

My first card featured my super-neglected Cat Punch. I wanted to create a fun little Halloween scene with her along with stamps from the Spooky Sweets and Sheltering Tree sets. The fence from the Farmhouse Framelits added a fun finishing touch with the Galvanized Metal Paper for some contrast. Her sparkly collar proves that she is a little less “spooky” and a little more “diva.”
My second projects was a simple box I created for my favorite Halloween candy, the Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins. I had to limit the amount that I purchased. These are seriously dangerous in my house. I love that the Cauldron Framelits cut out images in the Toil and Trouble DSP. Super easy and makes it look like you spent a lot of time coloring. Surprise!
Just another shot of these sweet treats! I can’t decide if I like the white chocolate Reese’s as much as the “original.” What is your favorite Halloween candy?

Finally, here is my third project, These little ghosts are so stinking cute! I added some texture and sparkle behind them to give then a little more character. I love that this card is easy to mail but doesn’t skimp on the details. That sentiment is from the Warm Hearted stamp set. That one can only be purchased through Host Rewards. Let me know if you’d like more info on that.

All of the products I used to create the projects will be listed on the sheets, along with the measurements.

Also, if you put in an order in my online store ($30 minimum, before tax and shipping) by Monday October 8th, 2018 at midnight, I will send you these three make and takes for free! You will receive all of the supplies to create the projects but it will NOT include any stamped images (per Stampin’ Up! policy) or chocolate (because Texas is still H-O-T!).

Please use Hostess Code NFUHU2VT

That’s how I will know that you ordered and will make sure that you get your make and takes. ($30 minimum)

If your order is over $150 (before tax and shipping), please DO NOT use the Hostess Code, so that you can earn the Hostess Rewards. I will still send you the make and takes, along with an extra gift.

Remember, orders must be placed by Monday October 8th, 2018 at midnight for these make and takes.

Thanks for visiting today. Please leave a comment and say hello.
Have a HAPPY day!

Creative Day!

I was pretty excited to FINALLY have a Stampin' Day this week, with my favorite "creative-partner-in-crime", Dawn! To celebrate the new SU! catalog, we decided to do a little challenge amongst demos! Our mission: to create a simply, fabulous card with the new Artistic Etchings stamp set.

Note: whenever Dawn and I get together it traditionally takes 3+ hours before we even get STARTED on a project. We are usually too busy chatting and chomping away on chocolate treats to stay focused. :)

After MUCH deliberation, I finally put this card together. I combined the Artistic Etchings set with the Love Letter Designer Series Paper (from the new catty). Then I threw in a couple of new products from the Holiday Mini Catalog, which makes it's debut on September 1st. Contact me today to get your copy!

I started by using a (non-SU!) background stamp on the focal image. Then I added the circle image from the Artistic Etchings set in Riding Hood Red. The Eiffel Tower image was stamped in Versa-Mark ink then heat embossed in black. Because every gal loves a little SPARKLE, I then gave the image a shot of Smooch Spritz. (Sorry, it doesn't show up well in the photo...) I also used the Color Spritzer tool to "age" the background on the red cardstock behind the main image, along with the cardstock behind the sentiment. The embossed "Bonjour" sentiment came from the retired set, Carte Postale, which I still adore! I inked the edges of most of the layers in black, because I felt the card needed to look a little "dirty" to maintain that "shabby chic" feel.

The Glimmer Brad, Silver Glass Glitter (adhered with Sticky Strip) and Black 1/2" Lace Trim are all previews from the Holiday Mini Catalog!! Pretty exciting, huh?

**QUICK NOTE: use caution when applying the new Glass Glitter. After applying it to the Sticky Strip I pressed down gently to make sure it adhered and...OUCH, guess I should have paid attention to the word *GLASS* in the product description. I chalk this up to a "blonde-moment"!

Below is the result of our little challenge! Check out Dawn's Blog (<-- Click her name) to get the details of her beautiful card! I LOVE her color combo, the embossing on the background and the sparkle on the crown! :)
