A Paper Pumpkin Thing - Sending Hearts

Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog HopWe are a group of Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators who love to share alternative project ideas for Paper Pumpkin, the monthly One Stop Box from Stampin’ Up! Today we are featuring projects from the January 2021 Paper Pumpkin - Sending Hearts
Thank you so much for stopping by today. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I’m from San Antonio, TX. Welcome!

Please make sure to follow the blog hop to see all of the awesome ideas shared this month!
You can find the full blog list toward the end of this post.
The January kit is perfect to create 8 awesome cards, as designed. I always like to stretch my kits a little more to create additional projects for even more versatility. Using the kit components and a few extra supplies, you can really have some fun stretching your creartivity.

*I've listed all of the measurements and details for the projects below along with a full supply list at the very end of this post.
For my projects, I used many of the core components of the kit, along with some additional cardstock, the Heart Punch Pack and the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The Heart Punch Pack is great because it can be used for so many occasions and the embossing is a subtle detail but really adds a lot of extra texture.
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Basic Black Card Base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" and folded in half
  • Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4"
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 5-1/8" x 3-7/8, embossed using Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (in place of Poppy Parade Cardstock, you could also use one of the envelopes in the kit)
  • Black Scalloped die cut from Paper Pumpkin kit, accent with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • Poppy Parade patterned card base from Paper Pumpkin kit: 4-1/2" x 2-3/4"
  • Basic Black Cardstock: scrap to punch a scalloped heart from Heart Punch Pack
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: scrap to punch heart from Heart Punch Pack, emboss with Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and accent with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • "Love" die cut from Paper Pumpkin kit, accent with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • White die cut tag from Paper Pumpkin kit: stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade ink
  • Ribbon from Paper Pumpkin kit
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Here is a peek inside the card. I added a 3/4" x 4" strip of the patterned card base to a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White Cardstock. I also stamped some coordinating sentiments in Poppy Parade ink. I just LOVE the fonts used in this stamp set!
My coordinating project is a fun little treat box. The box itself is super easy to make because Stampin' Up! does all of the tough stuff for you. The Love You Always Treat Boxes come pre-cut and scored. They are super easy to assemble and you can decorate them any way your little heart desires. So perfect for gift-giving for ANY occasion!
I added more of the layered punches to carry the theme throughout both projects. The boxes are VERY sturdy and can hold a variety of treats. Pleas, all of the cutting and scoring is done for you. BONUS! I filled mine with some Werther's Original candies because that's what I had on hand.
Treat Box Measurements and Details:
  • Love You Always Treat Box
  • Poppy Parade patterned card base from Paper Pumpkin kit: 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" (2 pieces, for front and back of box)
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 1-3/8" x 3-3/4" (2 pieces, for sides of the box), embossed using Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
  • Basic Black Cardstock: scrap to punch two scalloped hearts from Heart Punch Pack
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: scrap to punch two hearts from Heart Punch Pack, emboss with Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and accent with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • Basic White Cardstock: 1-3/4" x 5/8" stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade ink
  • Ribbon from Paper Pumpkin kit
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Snailed It for PP525

Happy Sunday!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Joanne is hosting our monthly Sketch Challenge
Sketch Challenges are my FAVORITE! As soon as I saw Joanne’s sketch, I knew it would be great to showcase different patterns of Designer Series Paper. I’ve set a goal for myself this year to USE more DSP, instead of just “collecting” it in my stamp studio. Those pretty patterns need to be shared and enjoyed! You can always buy more, right?

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
I’m absolutely smitten with the Snailed It stamp set and coordinating Snail Dies right now. I especially love that the dies cut out images from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. Talk about making it easy! I added a couple of little embellishments and the card came together pretty easily. That little snail is SO cute, isn’t he? Eek!
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Real Red Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Snail Mail Designer Series Paper (Bermuda Bay pattern): 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Snail Mail Designer Series Paper (mail and package pattern): 2-1/2” x 4-1/4”
  • Real Red Cardstock: die cut 1-7/8” circle from Stitched Circles Dies
  • Snail Mail Designer Series Paper: die cut snail image using Snail Dies, accent the snail’s shell with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • Basic White Cardstock: 1-3/4” x 1/2”, stamp sentiment in Real Red ink and snip off right end at an angle
  • Resin Hearts Embellishments and Red Rhinestones
  • Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Snail Mail Designer Series Paper (inside card): 4” x 3/4”
Finally a peek inside the card. I added a little strip of the letter / package pattern of DSP and a trio of stamped hearts colored with Stampin’ Blends. It’s all set for a handwritten note for a friend.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Sketch Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday January 29th, 2021
