I know I am late to the party, but I finally got the Hello You Thinlits Dies last week. Why did I not buy these dies sooner? I am in LOVE with them! I love big, bold sentiments and these are perfection! I paired them up with a trio of flowers from a die that I thought was current (Floral Fusion), but isn't. I have to be honest, I'm simply having fun creating right now. It makes me happy. I'm not worried about using the latest and greatest...what is current and who makes it. I am just using what inspires me and going with that. I think that is what the essence of creativity is. Just use what you have to make pretty things...and have fun doing it! That's what it's all about, right? :)
I used some Primrose Petals ribbon...with a little pleated detail. But you didn't use anything else in that color on the card, Anne Marie. Yup, I realized that AFTER I added it to the card. Whoopsie! I don't think you can tell, that much. Well, now that I mentioned it, you can, right? Even if you can, just nod and tell me looks like it matches perfectly, ok? The rest of the somewhat coordinated supply list can be found at the end of the post. Haha!
Please join us over at The Paper Players!
The challenge will close Friday April 3rd at Noon (PST).

ReplyDeleteLove your passion for pink card! I had the same conversation with myself - but with blue. I forced myself to try a different color. I love your use of "vintage" supplies to make this gorgeous card! I really want to play with my sizzlets now!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is SO lovely, AM! I love the embossed background and layered flowers, and of cource the bit of bling. You can make pink cards all you want as far as I am concerned because you know how to rock the color!
ReplyDeleteI'm crushing on those big embossed police dots!! this is a pretty card Anne Marie, love it! I'm with you on the latest, greatest, name brands and trends...I buy and design by what I feel is me.
ReplyDeleteI love that Floral Fusion die - I think it's my favorite SU die! It makes the most amazing and trendy flowers! Your card is gorgeous with just the right amount of pink :)
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, you are the sweetest! I added the color pink on the board with you in mind! :) I would have been disappointed if you didn't use pink on your card. I LOVE the huge polka dots and your trip of flowers are so pretty! I am with you, I think we should use what speaks to us and not worry if it is current! I love all my old things. That is why I bought them to begin with! :)) XXXX
ReplyDeleteI love this happy card, and I don't care if you used Primrose Petals ribbon with a bunch of other pinks and a retired die...woohoo, I do that stuff ALL the time! Wheeeeee! Just have fun creating, my friend!

Anne Marie, you shouldn't have told us about your 'oopsie'! No one who isn't a die-hard SU demonstrator is going to notice! And honestly, who cares anyway?? I LOVE Primrose Petals and the floral fusion dies and still have both in my stash as well. Oh, and your bitty flower punch for the flower centers...well, that's retired too! lol, I love that punch! I also love your combination of colors...the added green and yellow really make everything POP. Such a PRETTY card!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this bright and happy card, AM! It's bold and fun. I am totally with you on the creating for fun sake. I'm more than a little tired of keeping up with it all. Your fabulous card reminds me to bring out that die more often--it was always a favorite! Great card, AM!
