Quick and Easy Gable Gift Box

Hello and Happy Saturday to you! Today I wanted to share with you one more quick and easy gift idea, as the countdown to the big day is winding down. Do you have all of your Christmas shopping finished yet?

On Thursday, I shared a couple of other gift card/treat holders for the “Last Minute Lucy" theme over at the 3rd Thursday Blog Hop. You can find that post HERE. Since I had everything out on my desk after making those projects, I decided to keep going and get a few more gifts checked off my list.

Did you know that Stampin’ Up!® has a lot of really functional pre-made gift boxes? The Mini Gable Gift Boxes are one of my favorites. They come 12 to a pack and are super-easy to assemble. The boxes are available in 2 colors, silver or lustrous white, so they can truly be used for any occasion.
To decorate the box, I took a 1-1/2” x 12” strip of the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper and wrapped it and adhered it around the box. Fun Fact: the paper does NOT fit completely around the box. It is just a tiny bit shy but that’s ok because I planned to cover that tiny gap up with the coffee/cocoa cup layer. Nobody will ever know it is there! Then I wrapped a piece if the Cherry Cobbler Double Stitched Ribbon around the box for some added texture, again making sure the “ends” the ribbon were to be hidden under the cup.

I used the Coffee Cup Framelits to cut out the image and thought it would be fun to add a little sparkle to the “whipped cream” using the Sparkle Glimmer paper. I seriously can’t get enough of that paper, it’s SO pretty! I stamped the sentiment from the Farmhouse Christmas set on the “sleeve” of the cup and popped on a couple of Red Rhinestones, because…well, why not? I did add another layer behind the cup (shocking, I know!) with the Starburst Punch, just to add a little more detail. Then I tied a little bow on the handle and there you have it.
I filled the inside of the box with a bunch of Lindt Lindor Milk Chocolate Truffles (my favorite!) and snuck in a Target Gift card. Hey, everybody can find something to buy at Target, right? I know every time I go in to Target, I am pretty much guaranteed to spend $50 minimum on things I didn’t even know I needed.

I hope you liked this little project today. I have listed all of the products I used below. If you click on the images, you can head on over to my online Stampin’ Up!® store where you can shop anytime 24/7. From now through 12/31, any order over $40 (before tax and shipping) using the Host Code VBXBJRWR will receive a pack of rhinestones from me as an extra gift. Enjoy your day today!
