Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, the lovely Ann is hosting our Theme Challenge.
Ahhh, masculine cards. I don’t know about you but these are the cards that I ALWAYS need but never seem to have on hand. Ann’s Theme Challenge is fantastic inspiration to get some of those “guy cards” created. I always love seeing what everyone shares for creative inspiration, too. I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

For my card, I decided to use the Legendary Ride stamp set and coordinating dies. I’m so happy that this set carried over into the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. I haven’t played with it nearly enough, so this challenge gave me the opportunity to show it some inky love. Although I really used the dies more than the stamps. Haha! I just love that you can piece together the motorcycle with all of the little pieces.
My layout is pretty simple. I love the Misty Moonlight with Pumpkin Pie and just added a “road” to ground the bike in Basic Gray. The Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder added a fun pop of texture. Adding ribbon and embellishments is always hard for me on masculine cards. So I kept it simple with a little silver trim behind the sentiment and some of the Classic Matte Dots. I have only used the black dots on the sheet, so was excited to finally use another color. Haha!
Card Measurements and Details:
- Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
- Basic Black Cardstock: 5-1/4” x 4”
- Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper: 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”
- Basic Gray Cardstock: 5-1/8” x 1”, embossed with Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder
- Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: scrap to stamp sentiment in StazOn ink, then die cut with largest banner from Stylish Shapes Dies
- Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Silver Foil: scrap to die cut motorcycle pieces
- Simply Elegant Trim and Classic Matte Dots
- Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 5-1/4” x 4”
- Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper (card interior): 7/8” x 3-7/8”
Finally, here is a peek inside the card. Simply added a scrap of DSP along with two stamped images from the set to "keep the party going" from the front of the card. I already know who I’m sending this card to...and I made a couple extras to have on hand for some birthdays later on in the year.
