Latte Love for PP683

Happy Sunday and Happy Easter, crafty friends!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, my sweet friend Ann is hosting our Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.

Rows Selected:
Designer Paper - Die-Cut - Ribbon
Designer Paper - Fun Fold - Thank You
Sparkle - Fun Fold - Embossing (heat)
Ribbon - Embossing - Pastels

Tic-Tac-Toe week is so much fun! I love all of the options to really get the creative mojo working. There are so many possibilities! In the end, I ended up using elements from FOUR rows on the board. Hooray! I sure hope you will take this challenge for a spin and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

*I’ve shared a full supply list of products (and a link to a video with measurements) used to create this card at the end of this post.

This is an easy and practical gift card holder “fun fold”. I let the Tic-Tac-Toe board inspire me and I landed on the Latte Love stamps and dies because I give a "whole latte” gift cards to places like Starbucks, Dunkin’ and even Panera.

Are you a coffee fan? Or is tea…or even cocoa more of a favorite? I tend to like hot beverages in the cool months, which are few and far between here in south Texas. However, I’m a cold brew coffee fan ALL the way…with Oat or Coconut milk. Yum!!!

The Latte Love Bundle is available as an Online Exclusive right now. This Bundle also coordinates with the A Little Latte Designer Series Paper which is pretty much my favorite paper pack of the moment. Plaid, coffee beans and cups…oh my!

There is also a Natural Polka Dot Trim in the Suite along with some cool embellishments (which will be back in stock soon!). I opted for the Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems instead though for this card because you can never go wrong with sparkle and I liked that there were two sizes to choose from.

Color Combo:

If you’d like measurements and a tutorial
showing how this card came together,
please check out the video link below.

In the video, I originally added a bow tied from Gold Simply Elegant Trim. I then decided, I liked Linen Thread just a little it better on the card, so switched it outdoor my final project.

You can see a close-up of the gift card holder on the interior of the fun fold below. I stamped a couple of coffee “splats” in Crumb Cake ink to keep the caffeinated party going from the front to the inside of the card. I also die-cut a trio of little espresso beans from the DSP, brushed with Wink of Stella for added sparkle.

I was determined to use that Natural Polka-Dot Trim somewhere on the card. It’s kind of “ribbon”, right? So I added a little strip behind the sentiment. it adds great texture and not a lot of extra bulk. i think it added some extra interest to the interior sentiment, don’t you? There is also lots of room to write a little note inside, too.

Hooray for Surprises for PP682

Happy Sunday crafty friends!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, the lovely LeAnne is hosting our  Sketch Challenge.

Sketch Challenges are always my favorite! I especially like layouts with repeated elements, so this one is definitely going in the file to use again and again. The squares and be any shape you prefer, so I had some fun layering them up for some added detail. I sure hope you will join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

*I’ve shared the measurements and a full supply list of products used to create this card at the end of this post.

Color Combo:

Picking the repeated focal elements turned out to be quite the decision for me. Haha! So many stamps to pick from. I finally decided on the little cakes from the Hooray for Surprises Bundle from the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog. This set hasn’t;t seen a lot of ink, so I decided this was the card to make that happen. I accented the cakes with itty-bitty flowers for more detail. That flower is tiny but it sure is cute!

I also used the little circle dies from the Everyday Details Dies and added the sentiment to the label from the Nested Essentials Dies. I really liked the polka dot pattern from the Lighter Than Air DSP pack, so that was starting point for the color combo. I also popped on a layer of white Textured Shimmer Paper and I just love the extra detail it adds in-person. The little Rhinestone Basic Jewels were the perfect finishing touch. Because let’s face it, birthday’s are better with some sparkle!

Card Measurements & Details:
  • Flirty Flamingo Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Azure Afternoon Cardstock Layer: 4” x 5-1/2”
  • Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper Layer: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • White Textured Shimmer Paper Layer: 2” x 5-1/8”
  • Azure Afternoon Cardstock Layer: 3” x 3”
  • Basic White Cardstock Layer: 2-7/8” x 2-7/8”
  • Basic White Cardstock: scraps to die-cut (4) smallest circles from Everyday Details Dies, (1) smallest label from Nested Essentials Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp / die-cut (4) cakes and (4) flowers in Flirty Flamingo, Azure Afternoon, Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lolly inks
  • Silver Metallic Combo Trim & Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Finally, here is a peek inside the card! I added a coordinating birthday sentiment from he Hooray for Surprises stamp set along with a strip of DSP to keep the party going from the front of the card. I finished it off with a trio of tiny hearts for a little touch of fun. This one is headed in the mail to a special friend this week!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Sketch ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday March 29th, 2024
