Petal Palette Extravaganza for Festive Friday

Hello stamping friends! I hope this blog post finds you doing well and enjoying your day. Today I have not one, not two…but SIX cards to share with you. Each one of them features the Petal Palette suite of products from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.

I was really excited to create a project for the theme challenge over at Festive Friday and I guess you could say I got a little carried away. I think it goes without saying that I went with the “FLOWERS” theme. Haha!
I think I am one of the few people in the Stampin’ Up! world to wait so long to order the Petal Palette products. I received them just the other day and couldn’t wait to use them for this challenge. I didn’t know what COLOR I wanted to use though. So, I started out by stamping and die cutting 6 of the floral images. I pulled out my Stampin’ Blends and colored all of the images in a rainbow of different colors. There is just something so relaxing about coloring. I love it!

Once I finished coloring the images, it made it even more difficult to pick just one. So, I just decided to turn them ALL into cards. This is seriously a personal record for me to create 6 cards in one sitting. Hooray for a good Netflix binge and some uninterrupted crafty time!

The first two cards in Pool Party and Daffodil Delight:
Next up Rich Razzleberry and Cherry Cobbler:
Finally Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay:
Another detail that is tough to see in the photos above, is that all of the flowers (and the little bird) were brushed with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for some shimmery accents. I may or may not be a little obsessed with using Wink of Stella lately. If I could paint the walls in my stamp studio with it, I probably would. :)
All of the cards have decorated “insides” as well. I just think it’s a fun detail to keep the party going from the front of the card. Don’t forget to stamp your envelopes, too.
Thank you so very much for stopping by my blog today! Please leave a comment and say hello. I have listed all of the products I used to create these cards below. There are a LOT of products, I know. I do have to mention that right now the Stampin’ Blends will be unavailable until the end of May though. Stampin’ Up! is working on getting them back in stock. if you are interested in them, please email me and I will let you know as soon as they are available to order again. My email is: annemariehile@gmail.com.

I hope you have a very Happy Easter, if you are celebrating. Please stop by and visit again and I would absolutely love it it you would follow me on Facebook and Pinterest. I am planning some videos and giveaways on Facebook soon to try something new. Stay tuned for that!

Have a HAPPY day!

Happy Bubble and Fizz Birthday Swaps

Hello there! As promised, I wanted to share my second card for my monthly team swap. Our theme this month was “Birthdays” and I don’t know about you, but I ALWAYS need birthday cards. I never fully realize it until it’s the 3rd month into the year and I have completely depleted my birthday card supply.

For my card, I decided to use the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set because, honestly, I realized that I have never inked it up for as long as I’ve owned it. #shameful I paired it up with the Bubbles and Fizz DSP. Do you have this paper yet? You can only get this paper when you place a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration. There are only a couple days left to take advantage of this awesome sale.
I stamped the balloon images and added some extra detail to them. The two balloons in the back were stamped in Versamark, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Love those tiny bubbles! For the balloon in the front, I stamped and then covered it in a layer of glue from the Fine Tipped Glue Pen. When you apply it in a thin layer, it dries clear.  Just remember to leave it alone while it dries. Just walk away. Walk. Away. Let it dry. This is where you have to exercise some patience. Trust me, it’s worth it! I can’t tell you how many times I wasted a perfectly good balloon because of my impatient fingerprints before I learned this lesson.

Finally, here is a quick shot of the inside of the card. As I have mentioned before, I am currently on a kick of decorating the inside of my cards along with the envelopes. I think when you go to the effort to make a card for someone, you really need to go “all in” and decorate ALL of the pieces. It doesn’t take a lot of extra time, since all of the stamps are already on your desk from creating the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to take a peek at my card. Please leave me a comment to say hello. All of the products that I used to create my card are listed below. Click on any of them to head on over to my online Stampin’ Up! store. You can order anytime 24/7. If you have any questions, please reach out to me at: annemariehile@gmail.com. Remember, there are only a couple of days left to take advantage of FREE Sale-A-Bration products. Don’t miss out!

Have a HAPPY day! :)
