Merry Cafe Valentine

Hello and Happy Wednesday to you! Hope you are enjoying your week so far. Can you believe Christmas is just 5 days away? This month has just flown by! Today I wanted to share with you the swap card I made for our monthly team meeting. I decided to stick with the Valentine-theme from my gift card holder in the Shoebox Swap (see previous post HERE) using the Merry Cafe stamp set.

This card incorporates ALL of my favorite things! Layers, texture, sparkle…and COFFEE! I have a Venti Starbucks sitting by my side as I type this. Haha! I really like the color combo of Real Red, Blushing Bride and Pool Party together and the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper has some beautiful patterns using that combo. I’m so sad that it’s retiring soon, along with the Merry Cafe stamp set.
When I put my layout together, I originally had the Blushing Bride layer without the texture and didn’t have the doily behind the coffee cup. It was pretty but I just felt like it needed a little more POP. The Cable Knit Embossing Folder is one of my favorites. It’s like a warm and cozy sweater! Finally, I added the doily and I was happy with the end result. I hope you like it as well!

All of the products I used to make this card are listed below! Many of them will be retiring soon, so get them while you can. Click the product images to shop in my online store.

So glad you stopped by today! :)

Festive Phrases Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to an awesome start. It’s cold and rainy here today, but I’m making the most of it in my stamp studio. As I mentioned in my last post, I wanted to share the projects I made for our team meeting last week. In addition to the ornament swap that I posted on Sunday, we also did a Shoebox Swap. We all had a lot of fun putting all of the projects together!

After making SO many Christmas cards recently, I decided to create my project for Valentine’s Day. The soon-to-be retiring Festive Phrases stamp set has an adorable sentiment that had yet to see some ink, so I paired that with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and created this little gift card holder. If you didn’t want to use it as a gift card holder, you could easily just stamp or write on the little pull-out card.
I wanted to add a little more texture to the front of the treat bag, so I used the new Scattered Sequins embossing folder on just the front of the bag. That embossing folder is brand new and will be available for purchase on January 3, 2018 in the new Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog! I colored in the stamped image with my Stampin’ Blends markers and added the trio of little sparkly hearts for fun. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do!

You can order almost all of the supplies I used by today clicking the images below to head on over to my online store.

Have a great day!

Merry Little Ornament Exchange

Hello and Happy Saturday stamping friends! I hope you are enjoying your day today! Over the next couple of days I am going to be sharing with you some of the projects I made for our team meeting this past Monday. One of the projects for our meeting was a handmade ornament exchange. It was so awesome to see what everyone came up with!

I immediately went to Pinterest to search for inspiration and came upon a video tutorial for this 3-D Snowflake Ornament from Carrie Rhoades. She shared a fantastic tutorial to create this ornament on her blog. HERE is the link to check it out! The ornament itself is simply created from a 6x6 sheet of paper. Once you assemble the ornament, you can embellish it in SO many different ways, which I love!
To package the ornament up, I repurposed an empty box from my Birchbox subscription. (PS: If you love getting surprise beauty goodies delivered to your door every month, check out Birchbox HERE)

The box even had a piece of red tissue paper in there already, so it must have been meant to be. I just added a piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP to the top of the box and stuck some of the 7/8” Black and White Striped Ribbon around the box top. I love that the ribbon has wire in it, so it is really easy to work with.
It seems like everyone is “mad for Buffalo Plaid” right now and I’m on board with that trend, for sure! Then I just went for lots of sparkle and shine! It IS the holiday season after all! I added some details with die cuts and my favorite products: Glimmer Paper, Rhinestones and Wink of Stella. I colored in that center rhinestone with the Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Marker to give it a little extra “pop.”

Thank you so much for stopping by today! All of the products used on my ornament (except that gift box, haha) can be purchased in my online store. But hurry, many of the items will be retiring soon! Click on the product photos below to order.

Have a happy day!
