Supremely Awesome for PP642

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, LeAnne is hosting our Sketch Challenge.
Oh how I love good Sketch Challenge and LeAnne delivered with this one. SO many possibilities! My card initially started out as something completely different but when I was putting away some new stamp sets, a whole different project popped into my head.

I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

I decided to use the new Supremely Awesome stamp set from the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog for this card. What can I say? I’m a pushover for a “punny” sentiment! This stamp set is adorable, because, it’s PIZZA! Cue the music…"When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s amore". By the way, you’re welcome for putting that song in your head today. :)
Color Combo:
It is so easy to create a card with JUST the images and sentiments, which I did with this one. I initially had a piece of Designer Series Paper in the background, but just didn’t like how it looked. So, I created my own but randomly stamping the little utensils on the Misty Moonlight layer.

When I first stamped my little chef, the layer was a bit too wide for the sketch. You know what they say about never trusting a skinny chef…haha! So, I decided to trim down he layer a bit and add some interest by popping the pizza OFF the layer to make it stand out a bit. I stamped a second pizza image, colored it with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy-cut it out. It adds some cool dimension in-person. I also added some little dots to the cheese on the pizza using a Black Stampin’ Write Marker. It just added a little “seasoning" to the pizza and also played off the buttons on the chef’s coat. It’s tough to see in the photos, but I also brushed some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the pepperoni and the pizza tray for sparky detail.
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Basic Black Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Misty Moonlight Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, stamp image randomly in Misty Moonlight ink
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: 2-1/4” x 4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 1-7/8” x 3-7/8”, stamp image in Memento ink and color with Stampin’ Blends
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 3/4”, stamp in Memento ink and trim to fit on card layer
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp pizza image, color with Stampin’ Blends and fussy-cut
  • Basic Black Cardstock: scrap to stamp sentiment Versamark ink, heat emboss with white embossing powder, then punch with 1-3/4” Circle Punch
  • Misty Moonlight Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
Finally,, here is a peek inside the card. I stamped the checkerboard border in Memento ink and colored it with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. Then I stamped the fun sentiment and another set of utensils. I also popped in a little heart image (from the Crafting with You stamp set) because I just felt like it needed one. I’m going to give this one to my husband just to let him know I love him!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Sketch ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday June 2nd, 2023

Hello Stamping Friends! Today, I’m super-excited to share the January 2023 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This hop is hosted by Sara Levin and we share on the second Sunday of every month.

Our theme for the month is “Love Is...” where we are each sharing projects centered around a love theme. Welcome, I’m so happy you are here today!
Today, I am sharing two cards with my favorite stamp set “of the moment” from the Stampin’ Up! January - April Mini Catalog. If you are a pet lover like me or just really like adorable images, the Love Cats stamp set is a must-have! I also paired this little kitty with the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper to create a super-cute Valentine’s Day card.
