Sweet Ice Cream Birthday for PP538

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, the always lovely Claire is hosting our monthly Sketch Challenge.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Sketch challenge are my FAVORITE! As soon as I saw this sketch, I was drawn to use the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and coordinating Ice Cream Builder Punch for a fun birthday card. What better way to celebrate a birthday than with a triple scoop of delicious ice cream, right? Yum!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I just love this color combo! The Old Olive reminds me of pistachio ice cream and I just love how the Bermuda Bay really pops against the green. I added in some sheer Pool Party ribbon behind the cone for some added texture and shimmer. Of course, rhinestone “sprinkles” are always the perfect finishing touch.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor? If I had to pick, I would have a hard time choosing between (dairy-free) Butter Pecan and Mint Chocolate Chip. Yum!!!

Boho Indigo Birthday for PP537

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Laurie is hosting our monthly  Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge.
If you have visited me before, you might know that Clean-and-Simple week is always a challenge for me…but I’m working on it! You can’t go wrong with a “Birthday” theme, either. I always need more birthday cards, how about you? So, I decided to pull out my Boho Indigo Product Medley for this card filled with a “bunch of birthday love”.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I absolutely love the Boho Indigo Product Medley! It’s an all-in-one kit that contains, stamps, dies, ribbon, Designer Series Paper, embossed cardstock, paper flowers and die cuts with gold foiled accents. It will be retiring on May 3rd, so if it’s on your list, don’t wait to order one. There is also a refill kit available, the links to order are listed at the very end of this post.

I used the gold foiled leaves from the kit along with the vase and leaf die to early pop the vase together. I also used the sentiment from the stamp set and added in a little pop go embossed detail from the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder. This card came together quickly and I just love how the gold accents really pop, don’t you?
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Thick Very Vanilla Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Garden Green Cardstock: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”, emboss using Meadow Moments Embossing Folder, stamp sentiment is Garden Green ink on bottom right corner
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: die cut 1-3/4” x 3-1/8” rectangle from Stitched Rectangle Dies
  • Garden Green Cardstock: scrap to die cut vase from Boho Indigo Product Medley Dies
  • Gold Foil: scrap to place behind the cut-out area of vase and another scrap to die ut the leaves from the Boho Indigo Product Medley
  • Die cut foiled leaves from the Boho Indigo Product Medley
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Garden Green Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 1/2”
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: scrap to stamp sentiment and punch out using Classic Label Punch
Finally a peek inside the card! I added in a Very Vanilla layer with a simple strip of Garden Green Cardstock and another of the die cut leaves from the kit. I went back and forth with a sentiment and decided on the “Today is all about you!” sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Birthday Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday April 23rd, 2021
