Happy Sunday, friends!
This week, the always lovely Claire is hosting our monthly Sketch Challenge.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Sketch challenge are my FAVORITE! As soon as I saw this sketch, I was drawn to use the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and coordinating Ice Cream Builder Punch for a fun birthday card. What better way to celebrate a birthday than with a triple scoop of delicious ice cream, right? Yum!
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I just love this color combo! The Old Olive reminds me of pistachio ice cream and I just love how the Bermuda Bay really pops against the green. I added in some sheer Pool Party ribbon behind the cone for some added texture and shimmer. Of course, rhinestone “sprinkles” are always the perfect finishing touch.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? If I had to pick, I would have a hard time choosing between (dairy-free) Butter Pecan and Mint Chocolate Chip. Yum!!!

Finally a peek inside the card! I added ia simple strip of the DSP along with the big, bold birthday sentiment. I always need more birthday cards in my “stash” and this one is done and ready to pop in the mail. Super cute, right?

Polka dots and ice cream... count me in! This is delightful, Anne Marie!
ReplyDeleteYUM!!! You had me at ice cream! Love the colors you used too!
ReplyDeleteYou have selected my favorite food group Anne Marie! Not even joking...hubby and I eat ice-cream at least 6 days a week, it's really a problem. Now as for the card and color...JUST WOW! I was not remotely interested in this stamp set until I saw your card. You do that a lot! LOL Well done!
ReplyDeleteYum!!! love the cute dot background too..fun card!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful display of dessert, Anne Marie. I love the colors. So soft and pretty and the ice cream looks oh so tempting. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet card! Yes I think everyone deserves at least 3 scopps on their birthday! I'm partial to raspberry dark chocolate truffle myself but the guys in my house are big Mint Chocolate Chip fans! I definitely need to use this set more! hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove your triple-scoop creation Anne Marie - I almost went with ice cream too this week and yours certainly looks yummy! Love the polka dot background too - where there's ice-cream, there's me - my favourite dessert!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun set Anne, I love your choice of colours and that little bit of texture on the band. Thx for the inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable, Anne Marie! I love the polka dots...and who can resist a triple-decker ice cream cone! Have a wonderful weekend!
