Dragonfly Garden for Facebook Live

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I shared my Facebook Friday Live video where I made a fun Double Z-Fold Card. This card features a sneak peek of the new Dragonfly Garden Bundle, which will be available on January 5th in the Stampin’ Up!® January-June Mini Catalog.

Double Z-Fold Cards are a great way to showcase different patterns of Designer Series Paper. One of my goals for 2021 is to use MORE of my paper and this is a great card design for that. I used the Dandy Garden DSP along with the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and coordinating Dragonflies Punch for this card. (available January 5th, 2021)

One of the things I love about this paper is that you can punch some of the printed dragonflies right out of the paper. It makes it SO easy because all of the coloring and shading is already done for you. Easy, peasy!

Card Measurements and Details:

Mossy Meadow Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11
On long side, score at 2-3/4” and 5-1/2”
Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper (dragonfly garden pattern): 5-1/4” x 4”
Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper (dandelion pattern): 2-1/2” x 4”
Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 9”
On ling side, score at 3” and 6”
Basic White Cardstock: 2-3/4” x 3”, 2 pieces, embossed one piece using Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder
Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper (Mossy Meadow pattern): 2-3/4” x 3”
Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper (dragonfly pattern): punch 3 dragonflies from paper and accent with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
Calypso Coral Cardstock: scrap to heat emboss sentiment and punch with Tailored Tag Punch
Artistry Blooms Sequins and Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon

Finally, I went ahead and created a second card using some different colored punched dragonflies and heat embossed the sentiment on a 2-1/4” x 3/4” strip of Mossy Meadow Cardstock. I also added the Gold Gilded Gems to accent the card. It’s just another look with a little bit different color mix.

Positive Inkers Global Design Team - January 2021

Hello there and Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s finally 2021? I think 2020 was just an odd year on SO many levels and we are all ready to move on to a fresh start! Dave and I rang in the new year relaxing at home in front of the fire with our pups. It was perfect! Despite the craziness that 2020 brought, we enjoyed reflecting on all of the positive things that came out of the year for us.

I’m thrilled to be blog hopping today with the Positive Inkers Global Design Team. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the globe who are super-excited to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!

If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the great state of Texas in the United States. Welcome!

Our theme this month is to feature NEW products, either from the January - June 2021 Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog OR the 2021 Sale-A-Bration Catalog. It’s no secret that I’m a little smitten with the new Sweet Ice Cream Bundle in the Mini Catalog right now. It has NOT left my desk since it arrived and I’m really enjoying playing with the suite.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.

One of the things I really love about the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set is that there are SO many possibilities to make colorful cones. The coordinating Ice Cream Builder Punch makes it super-easy to cut out the images, too. The photo above shows the stack of ink colors I used to create this triple scoop of cuteness. I let the colors in the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper guide my color combo because let’s be honest…that sprinkle pattern is ADORABLE, right??

I added some different textures to the background, including the new Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. It just added some soft texture to the white background to help everything pop just a little more. I also couldn’t help popping in a tiny heart (from the Dog Builder Punch) on top of the ice cream to play off the sentiment. Of course, I had to add some Wink of Stella to the heart and Petal Pink layer for aded sparkle along with a trio of Champagne Rhinestones.

Whisper White / Basic White: scrap to stamp sentiment and die cut using 1-3/8” circle from Layering Circles Dies
