Berry Blessings for Facebook Live & Snow in Texas

Hello everyone! This blog post was intended to post on Monday 2/15, however we were hit with a winter storm down here in Texas and the past few days have been a little crazy to say the least. Sunday night we received about 6 inches of snow, which may nor sound like a lot to many but snow is VERY rare here in San Antonio. Temperatures dropped to single digits and on Monday, there were widespread power and water outages. Our power was on and off most of the day Monday and at about 4pm, it was OUT completely. We just got our power back at about 4am today making it about 60 hours without power. To say this week has been an adventure is an understatement. Today, we have another round of snow and are really hoping that things don’t worsen again. There are still so many without power and water.
You came here to see some pretty, stampy things, so let’s get to that! On Sunday, I shared a Sunday Funday Live video and created two cards using the Berry Blessings stamp set and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper which is a bundle that can be earned for FREE with a qualifying order now through 2/28 during Stampin’ Up!® Sale-A-Bration.

Please join me over on on my *Stampin’ Anne Facebook Page*, where do Live videos sharing fun Stampin’ Up!® projects. My set time for Facebook Live is Friday at 4:00pm CST, however I have been trying to pop on more often. Be sure to “Like” and “Follow” my Facebook Page so you get the notifications. This is a such a fun bundle! I love the bright and cheery patterns in the paper. This Sale-A-Bration bundle also coordinates with the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and Strawberry Builder Punch in the January - June Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog. You can check out that bundle by clicking HERE for more info. Please note, the punch is currently backordered as of 2/18 but is expected to be available very soon.

All of the measurements for my project are listed below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this blog post.
The first card features the blueberry stamps and coordinating patterns of DSP. The blueberry outline is stamped in Pacific Point ink and the “inside” of the berries are stamped in Balmy Blue ink, stamped-off once. The leaves are stamped in Garden Green ink, the outline full strength and the “insides” stamped-off once.

Card Measurements and Details:

  • Pacific Point Card Base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 5-1/4” x 4”
  • Balmy Blue Cardstock: 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”, emboss using Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
  • Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (blueberry pattern): 1-1/4” x 4-7/8”
  • Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (plaid pattern): 1-3/8” x 4-5/8”

  • Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (inside card): 1” x 5-1/4”

The second card features the raspberries in the stamp set and another pretty pattern from the DSP. The outlines of the berries and leaves were stamped full strength in Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz ink. The “insides” of the berries, leaves and steams were also inked in Rich Razzleberry and Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped them off once on scrap paper and then stamped them on the cardstock so the color was a bit lighter.

Dressed to Impress for PP528

Happy Sunday!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, the lovely Jaydee is hosting our monthly Color Challenge.
Since today is Valentine’s Day, this would be a fun color combo to get some last minute cards created. That was initially where my mind went when I saw the colors for the week. To be honest, I’m all “valentined” (is that a word?) out right now. No more hearts for this girl for a little while anyway!

While looking through my stamp sets to get creating for this challenge I stopped upon the Dressed to Impress set. I always love a black and white card with a bold pop of color and that sassy sentiment and lipstick image were a perfect fit!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
The True Love Designer Series Paper in the January-June Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog has quickly become a favorite of mine. All of the patterns are black and white which I think is a "crafting necessity". You can use the patterns as is, or color them in…the choice is yours!

No red ribbon? No Problem! I had to get a pop of silver on my card and didn’t think the rhinestones were quite enough. So, I pulled out one of my favorite ribbons. The Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon is white but with Stampin’ Blends markers, it can instantly transform into ANY color you’d like it to be. Talk about versatility, right? I always have extra of this ribbon in my stamp studio for this reason. TipAlways make sure to protect your work surface with some scrap paper when coloring and give the ribbon time to dry.
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Real Red Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Basic Black Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, embossed with Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
  • True Love Designer Series Paper: 2-1/2” x 4-3/4”
  • Real Red Cardstock: die cut 2-1/2” scalloped circle from Layering Circles Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock: die cut 2-3/8” circle from Layering Circles Dies, stamp sentiment in Momento ink
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp lipstick in Momento ink, color with Stampin’ Blends and accent with Wink of Stella
  • Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, color with Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends marker (allow time to dry before adding to card front)
  • Rhinestones
  • Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”, stamp sentiment in Momento ink and dots in Real Red ink
  • True Love Designer Series Paper (inside card): 3/4” x 5-1/4”
Finally a peek inside the card! I simply added another strip of DSP and stamped some fun polka dots and a coordinating sentiment. Such a fun card to send a little note of encouragement to a friend!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Color Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday February 19th, 2021
