This card was inspired by two challenges, which I desperately needed to help jump-start some creativity. First up, I used the photo inspiration over at The Paper Players blog. Isn't this baby stinkin' cute, by the way??
Then I decided to use the sketch from I {heart} 2 Stamp. All of the great layers on this sketch really looked like they could be a lot of fun.
I decided to go with Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla and Close to Cocoa (retired) for the color combo, although in hindsight I probably should have used a darker brown. Why? Well, every time I look at this card now it reminds me of something. What, you ask? Here's a hint:

I don't really think any of the fabulous gals over at The Paper Players thought that the cute, little photo of the baby would morph into a Neapolitan ice cream inspired card. But that's what happened, for some odd reason. Guess I'm just craving ice cream today! Yum!
I used the True Friend stamp set and Berry Bliss DSP (sorry, both are retired) because I really liked the patterns together. With all of the patterns and layering on the card, I kept the image pretty simple and just added a few fun embellishments to dress it up a little. I paper pierced around the main image, along with two little "pokes" around the sentiment to play off of all the dots on the paper, image and ribbon. I added a couple of buttons tied with embroidery floss, too. It's a pretty "busy" card with all of the patterns, so I hope I'm not just distracted by my "ice cream cravings" and it actually all works together...
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you enjoy your day! I think it's finally time for some ice cream! :)
