Paper Players Challenge #50-Kind Thanks

Hello and Happy Sunday to you! What a crazy, busy week I had last week...sheesh! I was super excited to finally get some time to create a card, for the new challenge at the The Paper Players. LeAnne is our fabulous host this week and she has challenged us to a "Thank You" theme. We are also excited to share creations from our new Summer DT members: Lauri Ingram & Sandra Azzopardi and our June Guest Designer: Cindy Beach. SO excited to work with these lovely ladies! 
For my card, I decided to use my Punch Potpourri (hostess, level 1) stamp set and the coordinating Butterfly punch, two items that have been sitting unused in my stamp room for entirely too long. I also used the new Paisley Petals DSP that is coming out in the new SU! catalog, which releases July 1st. The colors in this paper are gorgeous and any chance to use some Cherry Cobbler is always a good thing. I decided to layer my butterflies and pop them up to give some extra dimension. The middle layer is light-weight vellum. I really need to use vellum more often. In hindsight, I think I should have spritzed the vellum layer with shimmmer spray....hmmm! I also wanted to share a photo from the awesome day my hubby and I spent at the lake, yesterday. We had a party with some wonderful friends and even though it was ridiculously HOT, we couldn't have asked for a better day. We enjoyed fun in the sun, plenty of Texas BBQ and LOTS of laughter. Although, my skin has somewhat of a Cherry Cobbler tone to it right now, as I did not use enough sunscreen. Eeek! :)

    This is a lovely card and I like the colors and the butterflies.
    I hope you'll receive my package soon - starting to get a bit nervous over here. Hope it'll get there in one piece!

    Anne Marie, what a beautiful card! The design is wonderful and the colors you chose to set off the DSP are wonderful and warm! and the inside.....what an inspiration to pump up my insides a notch! Thank you for great inspiration!

    Such a pretty card, love Cherry Cobbler! The butterflies are wonderful, I forget about that stamp set as well, not sure why....Looks and sounds like you had an awesome day at the lake yesterday, nothin' better than Texas BBQ :)

    Love your 3D butterflies and the colors you used! I know this is going to put a smile a someone's face ... it sure did mine! Glad you had fun at the lake. I love being on and in the water and I know exactly how you feel about this ridiculous hot weather!

    I love these butterflies! They look like they are fluttering their wings! You'll have to stay out of the sun for a few days. A good excuse to stamp maybe?

    Anne Marie - this card is gorgeous. I love the bright butterflies - they really play of the Paisley DSP. I think putting the vellum layer between the colored layers for the butterfly was a fabulous touch. And... I think I agree, some smooch spritz on that layer would have been extra gorgeous.

    Sorry to hear that you are a little fried today! It makes me tingle just thinking about sunburn. Sounds like you had a fabulous day, though!

    Beautiful card Anne Marie! Love all the colors and layers you've used but especially love the triple layer butterflies! Vellum was the perfect choice for that middle layer--gorgeous! Sorry about the burn but I'm sure the day was worth it! :-)

    Love all of the layers on this card! And the vellum is perfect. I need to use mine more often... The sky in your pic is perfect! Wish our's looked like that(very humid & overcast today).

    Anne Marie, this is SO pretty! I love those layered butterflies. They add so much dimension and the feeling that they could take flight at any moment.

    Load up on the aloe! It looks like the burn was worth it though. :o)
