I decided to use the Lovely as a Tree stamp set for my card. I needed a thank you card for a friend and that was my plan with the challenge colors. I stamped the main image on Glossy White card stock in VersaMark ink. Then, I heat embossed the tree with Early Espresso Embossing Powder. I ran my Brayer through the So Saffron Classic Ink Pad and then over the image...then I did the same with the More Mustard Classic Ink Pad to deepen the colors. I was thinking the end resut would look a little different but I kind of like the little pops of white around the trees.
I stamped the background with the Woodgrain stamp and sponged all the edges of the card with More Mustard Classic Ink. The sentiment (from the Curly Cute stamp set) was also heat embossed as well. It'

ReplyDeleteGreat card and wow! When I saw the two colors the first thing I thought was "huh?".... I was blank! You've used the colors so fabulously. Love the woodgrain and the set is one of the FAVS that will never fade in my stash. Thanks so much for the inspiration. hugs.
PS: One of my secrets is that I save every scrap of the photo paper when I print pictures to use for braying. Works like a charm helps with my pocket book too. hugs.
