My card is...ummmm..a little sparkly. Once the Glimmer Paper comes out, I am not responsible for my actions with it. Haha! I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration, along with the purple & silver / Christmas challenge from the gals at Our Creative Corner.
As this was a CAS card, I kept it simple...well, except for the layers. I heat embossed the image from the Snow Swirled set and the sentiment from Petite Pairs, for added shine. Where there is Glimmer Paper, there must be rhinestones, so I topped off the snowflake with a few to finish things off. :)
Finally a quick shot of the inside of the card, held by "Nordstrom Santa". We have had this guy the entire time we have been married and look forward to his appearance every Christmas. Although this year, he sits on "higher ground" as our foster dog, Oscar, has developed an affection for chewing on his feet.
I hope you will join us over at the Paper Players this week. Be sure to stop by and see what the rest of the gals on the Design Team have whipped up for inspiration. This is our last challenge of 2012 as we take a holiday break...whoa, I can't believe I just typed that, where did this year go? So, you will have until Friday, December 28th at Noon (PST) to link up a card for the challenge. Happy Stamping!

Beautiful, AM! I love that we both used purple--it makes such a regal card especially paired with all your glimmer and shine! Love how you've used the glimmer paper as a mat, stunning! Hope you have a great week, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like me with wishing for snow - but I guess we just need to be glad we don't have to shovel it or drive in the mess! It really would be nice though to see a little bit this year.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! LOVE all that purple and the great design you used. Outstanding.

ReplyDeleteHello Anne- Marie
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolute delight to see your name on the thumb nail for our Challenge at OCC.
This card is pure elegance, the design is relatively simple but it has a complexity about it at the same time, love how you have combined the two colours as well.
Did you receive the birthday card I sent?
Thanks for joining in for our last Challenge of the year at Our Creative Corner.
Smiles:)
Sue

ReplyDeleteHi Anne Marie, yep it's dangerous stuff that Glimmer paper.... :) love your card, and love all the layers. The snowflake is gorgeous (none of those over here in Australia!) with it's glittery rhinestones. Thanks for playing along with us this week at Our Creative Corner.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Congrats on being a "Perfect Princess", this week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I love the non-traditional color and your wonderful layout. Here is Wisconsin, it seems we don't get to see snow too often either (at least in 2011 & 2012)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous (as usual!) Anne Marie!! Love the combo of purple and silver - and your use of sparkle is perfect (you can never have too much sparkle, eh?!). I hope you have a wonderful Christmas... I look forward to seeing more of your fab creations in the new year! Hugs...
