Hello and Happy Saturday to you stampers! This week at Dynamic Duos, we have a "Bold and Sassy" color combo which is perfect for your Valentine's Day creations...or for ANY occasion, really. You really can't go wrong when Pretty in Pink is involved, I always say.
Note to self: anytime I even think about using white embossing powder on black card stock, it is ALWAYS a disaster. I stamped that sentiment 4 times. Totally regret my decision NOT to use the Embossing Buddy before the powder started pouring. Yikes! My new favorite stamp set from the SU Spring catty HAS to be Hearts a Flutter. I love that it has coordinating die cuts, too. Awesome-sauce! This card was originally going to only have three hearts but then the Glimmer Paper got involved. Then the layers. Then the bling. You know how it goes. All of the supplies I used are listed at the end of the post.
I hope you will join us and play along at Dynamic Duos this week. Our challenge closes Thursday, February 7th at Noon (PDT). Please stop by and visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they created with this awesome color combo:

This is absolutely stunning even with embossing disasters!! (BTW - I don't look the embossing buddy anybody better because I always see the smear of powder on black - I don't think there's a great answer.) I love your use of black with those bright pinks and reds!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Anne Marie! I love how the pink and red pops on the black and the bling is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis is darling Anne Marie, love your assorted hearts and the cute sentiment! I often cringe at the thought of embossing, there are always stray flecks!!
ReplyDeleteA sweet card with bling - how can you go wrong? I love your glitter hearts :o)
ReplyDeleteFabulous and love those pinks!

This is lovely, Anne Marie. ;-) I love your sweet little hearts banner in these colors. It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove this card. I have always loved the contrast of pink and black and your addition of the red is super. I totally agree with you about embossing.....I never get it flawless, but that's what makes it a hand made card, right? I can see some white on the inside of the card-did you do something inside?
ReplyDeleteYou continue to inspire me. Thanks for sharing.
LOVE! Sparkly and pink. Definitely an AM card. :)
ReplyDeleteYour heart banner is so pretty. Love the colors and sparkle.
ReplyDeleteI think it's fabulous anytime glimmer paper gets involved and your card proved it! It is so cute!
ReplyDeleteLovely V. card and love your heart banner! Your embossing on the black is perfect!
ReplyDeleteAwesome sauce indeed! Though I have to argue about the Pretty in Pink...hasn't won me over. I'll give you some scrap mojo, if you can give me some how to design on a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 advice.
ReplyDeleteadorable...love the heart pennants banner on the black b/g!
