Team Swap with a POP of Melon Mambo

Hello there and Happy Friday to you! Well, I have been a bit absent from blogging for a little while. I have been working on a lot of things “behind the scenes” recently and am finally back in my creative groove. Today I wanted to share a card I created for our monthly team swap. The theme was “Black and White with a POP of Color.” It goes without saying that my POP of color was going to be some shade of pink! Hello, Melon Mambo…I’ve missed you!

I think I may have mentioned how much I am loving the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper. It has so many awesome patterns and there are some really fun black and white patterns in there as well. I can’t stop using it! I decided to focus on showcasing the Amazing You stamp set with the coordinating Celebrate You Thinlits. Both of these items can be earned for FREE with a qualifying order during Stampin’ Up’s Sale-A-Bration, going on right now. Want to learn more about Sale-A-Bration? While creating this card, I realized that I haven’t used my Butterfly Thinlits dies in quite some time. I also really wanted something fun to pop off of the black and white background. So, I grabbed the Stitched Shapes Framelits and layered the circles. It felt like it needed a wee bit more, so I punched some leaves out of vellum and then added a pop of dimension to the butterfly. Of course, I had to add a bit of bling to finish it off.
All of the products used to create my card are listed below. Thank you so much for stopping by today and sticking with me while I have been getting things organized. I hope you have a wonderful day and please leave me a comment to say hello. Happy Stamping! :)
