Peaceful Noel for PP412

Hello and Happy Sunday to you! I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. This week at The Paper Players, the lovely and talented Leanne has an awesome Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for us. It’s super easy to play along. Just pick one row on the board, across, down or diagonally, and create your project featuring those elements. I love Tic-Tac-Toe Challenges because they are a great way to jump-start your creative mojo.
For my card, I started out using the top row of leaves, patterned paper and green. Then I realized it also works with the left vertical row of leaves, ribbon and die-cuts AND it also fits the bill for the right vertical row of green, any embossing and sequins/glitter. Whew! I almost filled every square on the board. I guess you could say this challenge really inspired me. Thanks LeAnne! :)
I’m on a kick of creating Christmas cards right now. I don’t know what it is but I am really in the holiday spirit early this year. I am absolutely smitten with the Joyous Noel suite of products in the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog  The Designer Series paper in this suite is one of my very favorites, ever. Every sheet has copper foil accents on one side and another gorgeous pattern on the other. So pretty! I kept the stamping simple on my card, but heat embossed the sentiment for some added shine. Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide are fabulous colors for Christmas cards, too.
So rich and elegant.

The Sprig Punch is a fantastic accent in this collection, as well. I punched out two of the “sprigs” in Copper Foil Paper and two more in the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper. I cut the tree “sprigs” in half and attached them behind the scalloped circle so they were going in opposite directions.
The inside of my card is here I did most of the stamping. Haha!
Remember to always decorate the inside of your cards and your envelopes, too.
It’s a great added touch!
I also wanted to share a second card I made using the Tic-Tac Toe Challenge. I created this card, well a dozen of them actually, for our team swaps this month. I changed up the colors a little but focused on pretty much the same layout. I can’t get enough of that Designer Series Paper, it just makes me happy.
Are YOU ready to create using the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge?

  7. Anne Marie these are my most favourite papers in the holiday catalogue - and I love how you used them to almost clean sweep the tic-tac-toe board! I too am on a Christmas card mission - I can't stop making them lately. I'm hoping this is a sign I will manage to get them in the post in good time too!
