Happy Sunday! This week at The Paper Players I am thrilled to be hosting our first color challenge of 2019. I absolutely love this cheery color combo and I hope you do as well. I sure hope you will check out the challenge this week and play along!
One of my favorite bundles in the new Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog is the Well Said stamp set and coordinating Well Written Framelits Dies. I just love how you can mix up the stamps and Framelits to create phrases in mixed fonts. There are a LOT of options for this set, too. It really is a “must have” to create cards for any occasion. Plus there are some fun shape Framelits in the set as well, like the leaves, butterfly and flowers. For my card, I really wanted to focus on keeping the layout pretty clean to showcase this beautiful bundle. In addition to the challenge colors of Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party, I used Granny Apple Green as my fourth color. That color really pairs well with so many colors, I love it! I added the sentiment to a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to make it the focal point of the card.
One tip: I did add some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to the cardstock before I cut out the “happy” sentiment and the little flowers. It made it SO easy to stick them to the card, without having to use liquid glue. Liquid glue can get a little messy when you have smaller “bits” so those adhesive sheets are amazing. Then, I added Mini Stampin' Dimensionals behind the flowers and also added Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the circle to pop them off the card a bit.
I also colored the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Marker to bring in a bit more of that color. Since the markers are alcohol-based, it is super-easy to create rhinestones or pearls in any color you’d like.
Finally a quick look at the inside of the card. I used another sentiment from the Well Said stamp set along with a couple butterflies from the Beauty Abounds stamp set.

ReplyDeleteThis is darling Anne Marie, I like those whimsical vines!
ReplyDeleteSo clean and beautiful, Anne Marie! Your gorgeous challenge colors just "pop" against the white!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, floral and feminine....love that you colored your bling with a blend, I think that is the coolest thing! My customers love doing that! Beautiful creation, inside and out!
ReplyDeleteLove the detail of your dies against that white background Anne Marie - they really do look so clean and fresh in these gorgeous spring colours. A great choice!
ReplyDeleteAM, I love the texture background, the lightness of the leaves and the bold sentiment. The white really does allow the colors to shine. Your card warms my heart on a cold, dull, winter day and reminds me that Spring is not too far away (well.. technically another 4 months for us!)
