Painted Seasons for PP431

Hey, hey, hey! It’s Sunday and time for another fun challenge over at The Paper Players! This week, I am so excited to be hosting and have a fun "Spring Fever” theme challenge for y'all.

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for Spring. I live in South Texas and we haven’t even had a rough winter compared to so many of you. Later on tonight, we are expected to get a cold front and a freeze. In March. That is something we are not used to at this time of year down here. At least it’s not snow. I was born and raised in Upstate New York and it’s funny how “winter” has a totally different meaning here in Texas. Either way, I think a lot of us are ready for SPRING out there!
When it came to “thinking Spring” I couldn’t help but use the Painted Seasons Bundle. So many beautiful images for seasonal cards throughout the year. This stamp set and DSP are only available for FREE with your qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration. You can get both the stamp set and paper with a $100 order…and JUST announced on Friday, you can earn the Painted Seasons DSP by itself with a $50 order. Yay!

Also another thing to note, is that this month Stampin’ Up!® is offering some Sale-A-Bration-Coordination products for purchase in the month of March. More info on that HERE. These items are available this month only are are while supplies last, so get them while you can. I love that Stampin’ Up!® is offering more options to coordinate with the SAB items this year. We all love getting a little more “bang for our buck”, right?
For the stamped images, I used Poppy Parade, Grapefruit Grove and Call Me Clover to coordinate with the DSP. To dress things up a little, I decided to add a little pop of Copper Foil paper and then a metallic leaf from the Leaves Trinkets to coordinate. The shine from the metallic accents is subtle but adds a fun detail to the card.

The sentiment is from the Life is Grand stamp set and I think it is one of those perfect sentiments for so many occasions. I added more texture to the background using the Basket Weave Embossing Folder, some pearl accents and light and “fluffy” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon for the bow. This ribbon is definitely a favorite of mine!

Card Measurements:

  • Poppy Parade Card Base - 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
  • Grapefruit Grove Cardstock - 5-1/4” x 4”
  • Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper - 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”
  • Whisper White Cardstock (for embossed layer) - 3” x 3-7/8”
  • Copper Foil - 3-1/4” x 3-7/8”
  • Whisper White Cardstock (inside of card) - 5-1/4” x 4”
  • Painted Seasons DSP (inside of card) - 1” x 4”
It's a little tough to see in the photos, but I used Wink of Stella to add some sparkly detail to the flowers. I just added the detail to the “veins” of the flowers and even though it is tough to see in the photos, it really adds a great detail “in person.”

The center of the flowers were stamped in Early Espresso ink and "fussy cut". I popped them up on Stampin’ Dimensionals for some added texture. I just love the detail in the stamped images in this set.
Here is a photo of the inside of the card. I was going to dress it up but decided to leave it blank, so I could add to it when occasion presented itself. I’ve listed all of the products used to create my card below.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share a project using my “Spring Fever” theme challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday March 8th, 2019.

  4. Ann last week and now you this week - you are determined for me to get those papers Anne Marie by making them irresistible!! Such a pretty card - those blooms definitely make me think of spring. I love the addition of the soft tulle ribbon too - a touch of 'pretty' without detracting from the beautiful papers and flowers.
