Daisy Lane for PP445

Hello stamping friends and Happy Sunday to you! This week at The Paper Players, I am hosting our Color Challenge featuring a cheerful mix of colors: Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green. Please join us!
I have to admit, I have never really been a big fan of purple. That was until last year when Stampin’ Up!® introduced not one, but TWO gorgeous purple shades: Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. This year there is another lighter shade of purple added to the color lineup: Purple Posy. These colors are fabulous and pair-up well with so many other colors. I never though it would happen, but I can say I’m now a fan of Team Purple.
My card features the brand new Daisy Lane Bundle which includes the Daisy Lane stamp set and Medium Daisy Punch. The stamp set and punch can be purchased individually or you can buy them as a bundle together and save an additional 10%. This is a really fun and easy to use bundle and also coordinates with the Daisy Delight stamp set and larger Daisy Punch, which adds even more creative options.

To create my card, I stamped the trio of daisies in Highland Heather Ink on Highland Heather Cardstock and then punched them out. I layered two flowers together using Stampin' Dimensionals and then added the adhesive-backed Perennial Essence Flower Centers for some texture. Then, I punched out some leaves with the Leaf Punch and added them with glue dots behind the flowers.
For the background, I used the Crackle Paint Background Stamp on Crumb Cake Cardstock in Crumb Cake Ink. This background stamp adds great, subtle texture and I find I am using it a lot lately. To add in a wee bit more of the Daffodil Delight color, I used my Stampin’ Blends Marker in Dark Daffodil Delight to color a few Basic Rhinestones to add as a finishing touch. Since the Stampin’ Blends are alcohol-based, they dry quickly and make creating lots of different colors of rhinestones and/or pearls super-easy.

 Card Measurements:

  • Highland Heather Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Daffodil Delight Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Whisper White Cardstock (inside card) - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Scraps of Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Whisper White Cardstock for stamped images, punched images and die cuts

Finally, here is a peek inside the card, using the stamped images from the Daisy Lane stamp set. I just love that sentiment!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share a project using this beautiful color combo. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday June 14th, 2019.
