Wonderfully Wicked Sneak Peek for PP454

Hello there stamping friends! It’s Sunday and you know what that means…time for an all new weekly challenge over at The Paper PlayersThis week, the lovely Jaydee is our challenge host and she has a really fun COLOR CHALLENGE for us.
I love the simplicity of black and white plus that POP of color!
Please join us this week, we can’t wait to see what you create.
For my card, I decided to use a few brand new products that will be in the upcoming Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog on 9/4. I LOVE Fall and Halloween! It’s my favorite time of the year. Even though the temperatures are currently in the triple digits here, I was super-excited to break out some new Halloween products for this challenge. I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek!
Today’s Colors:

The stamp set I used is called Wonderfully Wicked and also has coordinating dies, although I didn’t use them on this card. This set has some really fun Halloween images and phrases. I paired it with the new Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder and the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. That little scalloped trim on the bottom of the card is the new Basic Black 3/8” Scalloped Edge Ribbon. Once again, all of these products will be available starting on September 4th. If you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator here in the US and would like a copy of the Holiday Catalog, please send me an email.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as the inspiration for my card layout. They are celebrating their 400th challenge this week. WOW! Congratulations, ladies! I just had to play along because to only was this their very first sketch but they also used it for their 100 challenge milestone. I played along for the 100th challenge, so I couldn’t pass up using this awesome sketch again. Love those layers! Click HERE to see my card for Challenge #100.
To add some sparkle and shine, I used the Shimmery Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on the bat image and the sentiment and also a few pops of the Black Foil Paper on the scalloped circle and on one of the layers. I used the Subtle Embossing Folder to give it some texture and I really like the way it came out.

Card Measurements:
  • Basic Black Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Whisper White Cardstock (embossed with Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder) - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock - 2-3/8” x 3-5/8”
  • Black Foil Paper (embossed with Subtle Embossing Folder) - 2-1/4” x 3-5/8”
  • Basic Black Cardstock - 2-5/8” x 2-5/8”
  • Monster Bash Designer Series Paper - 2-1/2” x 2-1/2”
  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock (for heat embossed sentiment) - 1-1/4” x 3-7/8”
  • Scraps os Black Foil and Whisper White Cardstock for Layering Circle Dies
  • Whisper White Cardstock (inside card)  - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Monster Bash Designer Series Paper (inside card) - 1” x 5-1/4”
Here is a look inside the card. I’m loving those sentiment stamps! I had intended to stamp “Have a Wicked Good Time!” but needed up grabbing the “celebration!” stamp on accident. It works just as well. We have some dear friends who throw an over-the-top Halloween party every year, so I’m going to save this to bring to the party with the host gift.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project with our Color Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday August 16th, 2019.
