Simple Thanks for PP496

Happy Sunday! Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Joanne is hosting our monthly Clean-and-Simple Challenge.
This month the theme for the challenge is: THANKS
Check it out and play along with us!
I don’t know about you, but I can never have too many thank you cards on hand to send out.   If you have visited me before, you may know that Clean-and-Simple (CAS) week is ALWAYS a challenge for me, especially with the layers. In my defense, this card really came together quickly because the dies did most of the work.

Yesterday, I spent the day with a dear friend of mine, catching up and stamping. It was SO fun to have someone to craft with after the past few months. The first thing I needed to accomplish on our “crafting day” was to create the card for this challenge. It’s always fun to stamp at someone else’s house because there are lots of new stamps and dies to play with. Haha! I pulled out a die set that I don’t have yet and got busy on my card.
The Detailed Bands Dies are really a fun way to dress up a card easily while focusing on the sentiment. They also can create a little wrap around the card, which I think is pretty cool. I decided to focus on the frame and the leafy accents and selected a thank you sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. Now, once I decided on my colors and layout, I felt like I needed ONE more leafy accent, but it had to be a “solid” leaf to balance everything out. So, I grabbed the Forever Flourishing Dies for those silver leaves.
For my card layout, I was inspired by the current sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. I’m always inspired by the awesome creativity on their challenges every week.
