Basket of Blooms for PP501

Happy Sunday! Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, I am super-excited to be hosting our monthly Sketch Challenge.
Check it out and play along with us!
It’s no secret that I LOVE sketch challenges, so I had fun designing the sketch for this one. This sketch can be as simple or as layered as you’d like. I thought that little angled element in the background would be a fun little detail to accent the focal image.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for this card below and there is also a full supply list at the very end of this post.

Color Combo:
My card uses the Basket of Blooms stamp set, coordinating Small Bloom Punch along with a sentiment from the Pretty Parasol stamp set which are in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. I love to garden, so this set was a must-have. I just love how you can build little blooming “scenes” by layering the images. I just love the “wishing you warmth and sunshine” sentiment and thought it was a perfect match for both the stamp set and the sketch.

I added little pops of texture to the background and the flower pot for some added detail. I thought the subtle pattern on angled strip of Designer Series Paper also added a nice touch of texture as well. Of course, those bright flowers weren’t complete without some sparkle using Wink of Stella and a trio of rhinestones.

  4. Anne Marie, I love the minimal color scheme you chose for your card. I love the texture on the layers and the little pops of pink and yellow add a summery feel. The little ribbon is the perfect finishing touch. And, I think this is a first... your card is way more clean and simple than mine and has less layers :-) Your card really is fabulous.
