Daisy Lane for PP518

Happy Sunday! Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, the always lovely LeAnne is hosting our Sketch Challenge.
As soon as I saw this sketch, I immediately thought it would be a great way to showcase some of that Designer Series Paper that I hoard…um, rather collect. Haha! I started looking though my assortment of papers and stopped on a pack that I haven’t used in a while, the Flowers for Every Season DSP

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.

Color Combo:
This time of year, I am making a LOT Christmas cards, so I wanted to change the pace a little and make a fun and cheery card for a friend who received some good news this week. I mixed up the patterns in the paper and paired them up with the Daisy Lane stamp set and Medium Daisy Punch. I also added some floral texture in the background using the Ornate Garden 3D Embossing Folder

I decided to add a little sparkly red heart on the center of the daisy and I just love the pop of bright color. I thought the little gold bow played off the sentiment, too. What do you think? At first, this sketch did intimidate me a little bit. But I definitely will be using it again!
