November 2020 - Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop

Hello stamping friends! Today, I am SO excited to share my project with you for the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. We are an awesome group of stampers from all over the world who come together on the second Wednesday of every month to share some creative inspiration and smiles from around the globe. You will definitely want to visit everyone to see their amazing projects. We hope you enjoy hopping along with us this month!

If this is the first time you are visiting my blog, I’m Anne Marie Hile from San Antonio, TX and I am so happy that you are visiting today. Welcome!
Our theme for the November 2020 Blog Hop is “The Market”, with a specific focus on TEXTURE! The market can be an array of so many different venues like food, flower, vendors/flea, clothing, crafts, or farmer's markets. It’s so awesome to see the creative inspiration from the world around us.

As soon as I saw our theme, I knew I wanted to feature the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, as the starting point on my card. What I love about this paper, is that it already has gorgeous photographic images, which already showcase beautiful textures. From there, I added lots of little details that are really hard to convey in photos. But holding the card “in person” you can really feel a variety of textures, from the embossing…to the ribbon textures…to the dimension. The theme this month really helped me step out of my comfort zone and I really hope you enjoy this card.

*I’ve also shared all of the card measurements below along with a full supply list at the end of this post.
Color Combo:
What I loved about this theme is that I just let it guide me to the finished card. The paper was the starting point and then I just grabbed different products that added to the finished project. I ended up using the Positive Thoughts stamp set and coordinating Nature’s Thought Dies because I think they lend themselves nicely to that layered “collage-style” look. I popped in THREE different ribbon / trim elements, which I never do…so I hope it looks ok. Lol! The heat embossed details also add another element of texture and of course, the finishing touch was a trio of sparkly accents. This ended up being a really fun card to make thanks to this awesome theme. Thanks Angie, I really enjoyed this one!

Finally a peek inside the card. I kept it simple and just added hint of the heat embossed leaves along with a strip of the brick patterned DSP. I left the sentiment blank for now because this card could be for  birthday or just a note to say “thinking of you”. I’ll add something appropriate when I get ready to send the card out.
