Hello, I’m Anne Marie Hile and I live in San Antonio, Texas in the United States. I’m so happy you stopped by today! This month, our theme is “Happy Holidays” and it is actually our last hop for 2020. I hope you enjoy hopping with us this month and find lots of creative inspiration.
Ready or not, Christmas is right around the corner! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been trying to get a head start on some holiday shopping. It never fails, every year I *think* I’m ahead of schedule and then I’m scrambling to get things sent out. 2020 has been a crazy year, so I’ve vowed to do my best and if everything gets to its destination by the new year, I’ll consider that a success.
Today’s projects feature a few of my favorite things from the Stamping’ Up!® August - December Mini Catalog: the Cherish the Season stamp set, Sounds of the Season Dies, ’Tis the Season Designer Series Paper and the Red & Green Foil Paper. All of those elements together create festive holiday projects with traditional colors.
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my projects below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.

My coordinating project came out of necessity actually. I picked up a few of these awesome sparkly pens for as holiday gifts for some of my friends who are obsessed with pretty office supplies, like I am. I purchased them online from a fantastic company here in Texas: PenGems. You can find the link to the online store HERE. Not only are they gorgeous pens, but they have a really good weight to them in your hand when you write. “Pen People” back me up on this. All pens are NOT created equally. Haha!
Long story short, these beautiful pens are packaged in acrylic boxes. However, I think someone at the post office sat on my envelope because when they arrived, the boxes had seen better days and my envelope was pretty banged up. The pens were in perfect shape, thank goodness. I thought about contacting the company, but just decided that we all have WAY more important things to worry about than smooshed packaging. So, I decided to just take meters into my own hands and created a little box template that fit that pretty pen perfectly. Bonus points because the end result is already wrapped and ready to give, too.
Pen Box Measurements and Details:
- Shaded Spruce Cardstock: 2 1/4” x 7 1/2”

- On the long side (7 1/2” side): score at 1/4”, 3/4”, 6 3/4” and 7 1/4”
