Hello there and Happy Tuesday! I’m thrilled to be blog hopping today with the Positive Inkers Global Design Team. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the globe who are super-excited to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!
If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the greatt state of Texas in the United States. Welcome!
Sandy challenged us with another fabulous sketch this month for the hop. It’s no secret that I LOVE a good sketch challenge to inspire creativity. Although, it’s entirely possible that I took a VERY literal approach to this sketch. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to use the Boho Indigo Product Medley. Truth be told, I attempted to make a Christmas card with this sketch but kept going back to this Product Medley. Sometimes you just have to go with the creative inspiration that strikes you, right?
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
What I love about this Product Medley is that you get stamps, dies, Designer Series Paper, embellishments, pre-printed die cuts and more. It’s really a great kit and works well with so many other products, too. There is even a refill kit for the consumable products, so once you have the stamps and dies, you can keep on creating!
The gold accented leaves from the kit were perfect for this sketch and I love the fancy banner for the sentiment. Already pre-printed ad ready to go. So easy! I added a pop of pattern using the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper and different textures from three different embossing folders.
Full disclosure, tilted elements on cards kind of stress me out. I don’t know what it is, I TRY to tilt them but there is something in me that fights it. So, this card was a big deal for me. I stuck that Pretty Peacock panel down with 14 Stampin’ Dimensionals (yes, 14!!) so I wouldn’t try to fuss with and straighten it once it was stuck down. One way to overcome your “tilted element fears” is to use a LOT of adhesive. Haha!
