Happy Sunday!
This week, I am so excited to be hosting our monthly Theme Challenge. Hooray!
I chose Hearts and/or Stars for our theme this week because let’s be honest, it’s always a good idea to share some love and also to tell those super-STAR’s in our lives how amazing they are! Have some fun with the challenge! I can’t WAIT to see what you create!
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I decided to create a fun rainbow card using the Detailed Heart Dies as the focal image. I cut out the die in Basic Black Cardstock and then filled in the little hearts using a rainbow of cheery colors. Full disclosure, if you are looking for a 10 minute card...this is NOT it. Filling in those hearts took a little bit of time. This card is going to a dear friend, so I didn’t mind the extra effort one bit. Love. Those. HAPPY. Colors.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Punch Party HOST set, which is exclusive during Sale-A-Bration and punched it out using the Heart Punch Pack. I also added some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the hearts for extra sparkle. A little pop of glitter ribbon and some rhinestones were the finishing touch.
Card Measurements and Details:
- Daffodil Delight Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
- Basic Black Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
- Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8”
- Basic Black Cardstock: scrap to die cut the Detailed Heart Die
- Real Red, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape Cardstock: scraps to die cut hearts from Detailed Heart Die
- Basic Black Cardstock: scrap to stamping emboss sentiment from Punch Party in Versamark Ink, heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched with heart from Heart Punch Pack
- Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and Rhinestone Basic Jewels
- Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
- Add extra die-cut hearts in Real Red, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apply green, Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape
- Stamp sentiment from Heartfelt stamp set in Tuxedo Black Momento Ink
Finally, a peek inside the card! I addd in a few of the extra die-cut hearts and a sentiment from the Heartfelt stamp set.
