So Very Happy for PP536

Happy Monday!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, LeAnne is hosting our monthly Color Challenge.

Sorry my post is a day late for the challenge, y’all. On Saturday evening we had an emergency when our next door neighbor’s home caught on fire. It was a horribly scary situation as you can imagine. Everything happened so quickly and the fire spread fast. As one point, we were scared it was going to spread to our home. Thankfully nobody was injured and we are incredibly thankful to the first responders and brave firefighters who arrived on the scene. Life can truly change in the blink of an eye, so count every single blessing.
As soon as I saw these colors, I immediately thought they would look great on a masculine birthday card. I decided to pair these colors up with the So Much Happy stamp set and coordinating Happy Dies. I just love a big, BOLD sentiment and this bundle is so perfect for that! This bundle will be retiring soon, so if you love it as much as I do make sure you get it before May 4th.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
The plaid Designer Series Paper is a sneak peek of a new pattern coming up in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog starting May 4th and I thought the plaid was so perfect for the masculine vibe of this card. Initially I used a trio of stars from the Happy Dies on the front of the card but they just seemed a little….well, chunky. They distracted from the sentiment quite a bit, so I pulled out the Stitched Stars Dies and the assorted smaller sizes were the perfect touch!

I popped in a little trio of the white Elegant Faceted Gems to balance out the white behind the sentiment and it made me wonder why I don’t use these pretty little gems more. They have a little pop of texture without being too flashy, which as perfect for this “dude card”.
