Happy Sunday, friends! It’s time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players! This week, the lovely and talented Jaydee is hosting our monthly Sketch Challenge.
If you have visited me before, you know Sketch Challenges are my FAVORITE! I love using a card layout as the starting point for a design. The sketch this week is fantastic, too. I hope you will join us and play along.
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I decided to use the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set and coordinating Seaside Seashells Dies for my card. The large shell worked so well for the focal image. I also used some coordinating products in this product suite: the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper. I just love the texture they add to the card. The seashells were colored on Shimmery White Cardstock with a watercolor wash background, then I stamped the images in their coordinating colors, The added shimmer is really beautiful in person. I also want to give a shout out to Chelsey Christensen from the Stampin’ Up!® Artisan Design Team for the coloring inspiration using this stamp set. :)

- Basic White Thick Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” and folded in half

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card with lots of great embellishments and texture.
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, when I first looked at this card, I thought it was the most beautiful and unique shell card I've seen. Then I noticed the frayed Fine Art ribbon edge and tried to find another word for more than most beautiful. I couldn't so I'm staying with "most beautiful". Hope you're enjoying your week.
ReplyDeleteI bought this set and have yet to use it. You have inspired me to get it out and use make a few cards! The color combo is beautiful and the layering is just fabulous! WOW! Enjoy this long holiday weekend, My Friend!
