Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, Joanne is hosting our monthly Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge.
When I sat down to create my card for this challenge I had such a wonderful idea. I literally spent about an hour and 45 minutes hashing out all of the little details on my card. Then I went to upload my card for the challenge. Oh, it’s Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Week. Whoops! I totally forgot to write that little detail in my planner. The card I made would NOT qualify for CAS in any way, so I went back to the drawing board. If you have visited me before, you might know my ongoing relationship with CAS week. I just have to laugh! :)
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
I decided to use the Sweet as a Peach stamp set, coordinating Peach Dies and the You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper for my card. I can’t say enough how much I love this suite of products! The detail in the images is so beautiful and the DSP just coordinates beautifully.
Those pretty peaches really steal the show, don’t they? I shaded them with a combination of Petal Pink and Calypso Coral ink. I also added some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush after I stamped them because everything is better with a little sparkle. This card came together really quickly, which was a good thing after my hour and 45 minute card making “oops”.
Card Measurements & Details:
- Petal Pink Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”. scored at 5-1/2”
- You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper: 1-3/4” x 5-1/4”
- Basic White Cardstock: die cut the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies
- Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: scrap to stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink and die cut using the 1-3/8” circle from the Layering Circle Dies
- Basic White Cardstock: scraps for stamping and die cutting the peach and leaf images
- Stamp the peaches in Petal Pink ink, then using a Sponge Dauber add Calypso Coral ink around the edges and slightly in the center of the images
- Stamp the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink and the stem in Early Espresso ink
- Artistry Blooms and Linen Thread
- Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/2”
- You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper (inside card): 1/2” x 5-1/4"
Finally, a peek inside the card. I kept it simple with a pop of DSP, a simple sentiment and some little floral accents. I think this is a fun card to send to a friend to just say hello and let them know you are thinking of them.
I also have a BONUS CAS card to share! Last week I had a Mystery Stamping event with my team and had so much fun, I decided to do it for my Facebook Live video this past Friday. This is a great layout to use up those DSP scraps.
I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Clean-and-Simple “Fruit & Berries" Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with using this awesome mix of colors! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday June 25th 2021.
