Hello there and Happy November to you! It’s my birthday month and I’m thrilled to be blog hopping today with the Positive Inkers Global Design Team. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the globe who are super-excited to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!
If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in San Antonio, Texas. Welcome!
Our Theme This Month: Christmas
My inspiration for this Blog Hop came from the Sweetest Little Stocking stamp set and coordinating Stockings Dies. For some strange reason I thought t would be fun to fussy-cut the cat in the box and the tiny mouse from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper. As any true paper crafter knows, if you spend all of that time fussy-cutting something, you’d better USE it on your card...so that’s what I did. My fussy cutting might not be perfect, but here’s a fun tip: if you fussy-cut just outside the lines of the image and create a little border around your image, those little cutting imperfections are not as visible once the image is placed on the card.
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my cards below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Y’all, did you ever have one of “those” cards that took basically FOREVER to put together? Well, that was the case for me with this one. I had the focal image, I just needed to make all of the other elements come together. I love mixing patterns of DSP on my cards and I have to say the Sweet Stockings DSP is really fun. That Christmas light pattern has to be one of my favorites…it’s so festive and cheery!
I also decided to use some scalloped edges from the Scalloped Contours Dies, some background texture from the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and of course, some little sparkly details to dress things up a bit, with the ribbon and the rhinestones. Overall, I like how the card came together and I hope you do as well.
