Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, Jaydee is hosting our monthly Theme Challenge.
Well, technically it IS winter for so many….but not here in South Texas. We have the air conditioning on! It’s not terribly hot right now in the high 70’s, however the humidity has been REALLY high this week. I guess it could be worse, right? (Thinking back to the ice storm this past February that basically shut down the city for a week….) It just doesn’t feel like “December weather”, but thankfully making holiday cards gets me right in the spirit of the season!
For this Theme Challenge I grabbed one of my favorites in the August - December Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog, the Sparkle of the Season stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Swirls Dies. Both will be retiring really soon and the dies are on sale right now. So, if you are thinking about getting them, now is the time! :)
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
I decided to used the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper since it coordinated so well with the leafy sprigs on the wreath. I also used the Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum for one layer of the wreath which really adds a wonderful pop of sparkle which is tough to see in the photos. Of course, I also added some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the little stars on the Real Red wreath, because well, you can never have too much sparkle.
