Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, Joanne is hosting our Color Challenge.
How pretty is this color trio? There is something so striking about Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green together, but add in that pop of Fresh Freesia and WOW! This one will be going in the “favorites” file for sure.
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
As soon as I saw the challenge colors, I knew I wanted to use the Cactus Cuties stamp set and coordinating Cactus Builder Punch. This bundle is currently available in the Stampin’ Up!® January - June Mini Catalog and it is one of my favorites. Living in south Texas, we have cacti everywhere, so it was a “must have” as soon as I saw it. As I was looking through my paper stash for some Fresh Freesia patterned paper, I found this pattern in the brand new Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper and I thought the pattern coordinated perfectly with the little punched flowers. Pretty fun, right? I also added a little pip of texture with the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder on the small Granny Apple Green strip. I thought it played off the lines in the stamped images. Of course, I had to add a little pop of Wink of Stella to those bitty punched flowers, because everything is better with sparkle. :)

Finally, here is a peek inside the card! I stamped an extra plant and added some greenery to the top corner for more color. Next, I added a leftover strip of the Designer Series to create a little “ground” for the plant to sit on. I left the rest blank to write a handwritten note.
