This week, I featured the June 2022 “Pick of the Crop” Paper Pumpkin Kit. For those of you that might not be familiar, Paper Pumpkin is a monthly “one stop box” of creative inspiration from Stampin’ Up!®. The kits can feature cards, treat holders, decor ideas and more. One of the things I love about Paper Pumpkin is that it is a perfect box for ALL stampers whether you are a beginner or have been stamping for years. Everything you need to make the cards created for the box is included. The June kit features a fun Farmer’s Market vibe and although this kit has already shipped, I wanted to share a little more about Paper Pumpkin so you don’t miss out on the NEXT kit…more info on that at the end of this post!
Here’s my version of the cards in the June kit. I simply added a cardstock base and one additional layer. If you have visited me before, you might know my affection for layers on my cards, so this is generally how I step up the kit cards a bit to make my “layer-loving heart” happy. These cards were so easy to put together because the kit components are really the star of the show.
I also created an alternative card with the fun stamp set included in the kit along with some additional supplies. This is just another way to get more from your Paper Pumpkin kit. You can get more info in the video and the measurements and supply list are listed below. PS: I did end up adding the scalloped border to the card after the video. I liked how it added a little more texture and color to the card.

Card Measurements & Details:
- Poppy Parade Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11", scored at 5-1/2”
- Night of Navy Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
- Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss with Gingham Embossing Folder
- Card Base from “Pick of the Crop” Paper Pumpkin Kit: 3-7/8” x 1-1/4”
- Poppy Parade Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 1/2”, die cut scalloped border with Scalloped Contours Dies
- Crumb Cake Cardstock: scrap to die cut the second largest stitched circle from Stylish Shapes Dies, cut in half and ink the edges with Crumb Cake ink
- Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp five strawberry images in Momento ink, color with Stampin’ Blends and fussy-cut
- Die cut label from kit: stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade ink and trace over border with black Stampin’ Write Marker
- Twine (from kit) and Rhinestone Basic Jewels
- Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”, stamp and color strawberry image
- Night of Navy Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 1/4”
Here is a peek inside the card! I simply added a little strip of Night of Navy Cardstock along with another stamped strawberry to “keep the party going” from the front of the card. Since this card could be used for different occasions, I opted to not add a sentiment inside to leave room for a sweet handwritten note.
