I decided to use one of the bundles I had on my first order from this catalog, the Snowman Magic stamp set and Snowman Dies. This is just such a fun little set! I love all of the “accessories” you can add to the snow people. This little couple is all dressed up and full of love Those Polished Pink “pearls” just crack me up…so fancy, right? If you enjoy putting little scenes together, you will definitely love this bundle!

Color Combo:
To create the layered snow drifts, I used the Gingerbread House Dies which are part of another new bundle in the Mini Catalog. After I cut two pieces of Basic White Cardstock with the dies, I felt like they were lacking some texture. I couldn’t find an embossing folder that I wanted to use and then I remembered the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint, which was in last year’s Mini Catalog and made a triumphant return this year. The puff paint is SO much fun to work with. It’s starts out as a milky liquid which I just ran back and forth lightly in zig-zag lines on the cardstock. Then I brought in the Heat Tool and that’s where the magic happened. When the paint heats up, it starts to puff up, basically just like it’s name implies. I just love the added texture it gave to the snow and it has a fun textural “feel” to it, too!
Speaking of texture, did you see those cute mountains and snowy detail on the Pool Party Cardstock? That comes from the new Charming Landscapes Embossing Folders, which is a set of 2. I think it adds just the right amount of whimsy with this snowy scene. I also dusted the die cut trees with Wink of Stella for snowy sparkle and added some of the new Adhesive-Backed Sequins & Gems for some fun finishing accents.
Card Measurements & Details:
- Polished Pink Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11", score at 5-1/2”
- Basic Black Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
- Pool Parry Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss the top half using the mountains from the Charming landscapes Embossing Folders
- Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 3-1/4 and 1-3/4” x 3-7/8”, die cut the snowy slopes using the Gingerbread House Dies. Add Snowfall Accents Puff paint and heat with the Heat Tool for texture.
- Basic White Cardstock: 2-1/8” x 3/8”, stamp sentiment in Momento ink
- Basic Black Cardstock: 2-1/4” x 1/2”
- Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp/die cut snow people, apparel and trees
- Polished Pink Cardstock: scrap to die cut heart image from the Snowman Dies
- Adhesive Backed Sequins & Gems and Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
- Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”, stamp snowman, bunny and hat in Momento ink (color with Stampin’ Blendss) and stamp hearts in Polished Pink ink
Here is a look inside the card! I stamped another little snowman along with his little bunny buddy and a trio of hearts to keep the love going from the front of the card.
