Hello and welcome to Kylie and Bruno's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for October! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all over the world sharing our love of stamping. We are all part of Kylie & Bruno Bertucci’s training group where we are having a great time learning and growing our Stampin’ Up!® businesses. If this is the first time you are visiting my blog, welcome! My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in Texas in the United States. I’m so glad you stopped by today!
You may be starting here or have arrived from another blog - either way, you can find the link list of all of the participants at the bottom of this post. Happy Hopping!
Our theme for this blog hop is “Thank You”, specifically the thank you cards we are making to share with our customers this month.
For my cards, I decided to use a new “sneak-peek” set that will be coming out in the Stampin’ Up!® January - June 2023 Mini Catalog. The Framed Florets stamp set and coordinating Framed Florets Dies are absolutely gorgeous with the lovely flowers and decorative oval images. The sentiments in the stamp set are perfect for so many occasions, too. As a demonstrator, I was able to preorder this bundle early and it will be available to order for everyone starting November 1, 2022. There is also a coordinating holiday sentiment stamp set, Designer Series Paper and embellishments that will also be available while supplies last starting 11/1.
Want to get this Bundle now? You can add it to the awesome Starter Kit promotion going on right now. Learn more HERE.
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
This past weekend I did a presentation at our team meeting featuring Soft Pastels and was having so much fun creating, I decided to make my customer thank you’s for the month with them, too. It’s always great to have different coloring mediums to use in stamping and the Soft Pastels are very fun to use. I am excited to share this card with my customers to get them excited about the Soft Pastels, too!
I love the background on this card, don’t you? It almost looks like a starry sky. I shaded a Coastal Cabana Soft Pastel on the Night of Navy Cardstock and wiped off the excess with a paper towel. Next, I used a Water Painter and some shavings of the Coastal Cabana Soft Pastel to add the little “splatters” all over the background. I also colored my flowers with the Soft Pastels and a Blender Pen. Three different ways to use the pastels on one card, so fun!
Card Measurements and Details:
- Night of Navy Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” and folded in half to create card base
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
- Night of Navy Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 5-1/4”, shade background with Coastal Cabana Soft Pastel, then create some “splatters” of the Soft Pastel by shaving some of the pastel on a stamp block and picking up the color with a Water Painter
- After shading background on Night of Navy layer, die cut scalloped borders on either side with Penned Flowers Dies
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock: scrap to die cut the frame from Framed Florets Dies (save the inner oval from the frame for a different project)
- Basic White Cardstock: scrap to die cut the frame from Framed Florets Dies (save the outer oval from the frame for a different project) and stamp the sentiment in Momento ink on inner oval
- Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp flower and leaf images, color with Soft Pastels and a Blending Brush, then die cut with Framed Florets Dies
- Linen Thread and Rhinestone Basic Jewels
- Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”
Finally, a look inside the card! I stamped one of the beautiful floral images from he Framed Florets stamp set in Momento Ink and colored the flowers with the Soft Pastels like I did on the front of the card. I decided not to add a sentiment to allow room for a handwritten thank you note to share with my awesome customers letting them know how much I appreciate their support of my business.
