November 2022 - Stamping Sunday Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends! Today, I’m super-excited to share the November 2022 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This hop is hosted by Sara Levin and we share on the second Sunday of every month.

Our theme for the month is “Holidays Are Coming” where we are sharing projects for the upcoming holiday season, no matter what holiday you celebrate. Welcome, I’m so happy you are here today!
I love to create and send handmade Christmas cards! I decided to create a card and gift card holder with a traditional color combo. I just love the combination of greens with the richness of Cherry Cobbler. Sing along with me, It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my projects below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post
Color Combo:
I used products in the new Framed Florets Bundle which will be featured in the upcoming January-June 2023 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. There are also a couple coordinating products in this collection that I used today which are only available “while supplies last”, including this gorgeous paper and festive sentiment stamp set. (see below)

I’m currently obsessed with this collection and have been creating with it non-stop! If you love bold sentiments, these stamp sets are perfect. Get more details HERE

The following exclusive products are only available while supplies last:

  • Framed & Festive Cling Stamp Set (item 160888)
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (item 161814)
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Evening Evergreen Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2"
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”, emboss with Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: 3-5/8” x 4-7/8”
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper:  3-1/2” x 4-3/4”, color the berries with Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin’ Blends
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: die cut oval frame, keep both pieces together
  • Basic White Cardstock: die cut oval frame and stamp on the inside piece, then glue over the Cherry Cobbler oval to create the sentiment panel
  • Glimmer Specialty Paper, Basic Rhinestones and Evening Evergreen Open-Weave Ribbon
  • Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”, stamp sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink
  • Fitting Florets DSP (card interior): 1” x 4-1/4”, color berries with Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin’ Blends
  • Glimmer Specialty Paper (card interior): die cut one leaf sprig from the green paper
Here is a peek inside the card! I added a strip of the DSP, a leftover glittery die-cut and stamped a coordinating sentiment. I like to bring the elements from the front of the card to the interior. It just adds extra detail and is also a great way to use up some scraps. Everyone wins there, right? Haha!

My second project for the blog hop is a gift card holder. I always find that I need a LOT of gift card holders this time of year. I love this one because it’s built into a card and is super-easy to pop in the mail.
Fun Fold Gift Card Holder Measurements and Details:
  • Cherry Cobbler Card Base: 4-1/4” x 10-3/8"
  • Score on long side at 5-1/2” x 8-3/8"
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 2-5/8” x 4”
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper: 2-1/2” x 3-7/8”
  • Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (card interior): 1” x 4”
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (card interior, gift card holder): 1-3/4” x 4”
Add a little “notch” to help the recipient access their gift card a little easier by punching or die-cutting a half-circle on the fold that holds the gift card. I used a 1-3/8” circle die (or punch…I can’t remember). Any circle will do.
Finally, here is a peek inside the card! Such a fun surprise for the recipient to find a gift card inside, don’t you think? :)

I hope you enjoyed these projects today using the Fitting Florets Dies and Framed & Festive stamp set! Please continue along on the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop to check out more awesome creative inspiration for the holiday season.
