Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, the always lovely Joanne is hosting our Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge.
Ah, CAS week, we meet again! Haha! I always joke about this challenge because these are the cards that always take me forever to create. But this week, I immediately knew what I wanted to do with the “Christmas” theme and it came together pretty quickly. I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players and share your Clean-and-Simple Christmas creation!
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
The Snowman Magic stamp set and coordinating Snowman Dies are just TOO cute! They are available in the Stampin’ Up!® July - December Mini Catalog and are one of my favorites. If you have visited me before you might know that I’m smitten with Christmas cards in non-traditional colors so this Polished Pink / Pool Party combo was right up my ally.
The snowflake frame is a perfect way to add extra detail without a lot of work and that’s always a good thing. I just love all of the little accessories that you can add to the snowmen to dress them up too. And hooray for the little dies that make the pieces so easy to cut out. I had everything stamped and cut and felt like the scene just needed a little something else…shocking, right? I added a light layer of Pool Party ink behind the frame and I really think it helps the scene pop a bit more.
Is it still Clean-and-Simple? I think so. It is adorable? You bet it is! :)
Card Measurements & Details:
- Polished Pink Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
- Basic White Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”, shade the center with Pool Parry Ink and a Blending Brush
- Polished Pink Cardstock: piece to cut the snowflake frame from Snowman Dies
- Pool Party Cardstock: scrap to die cut (2) trees from Snowman Dies
- Daffodil Delight Cardstock: scrap to die cut (2) stars from Snowman Dies
- Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp snowman and all of his little accessories and die cut images with Snowman Dies
- Basic White Cardstock: 1/2” strip to stamp the sentiment and banner punch the right side with Banners Pick a Punch
- Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”
Finally, here is a peek inside the card! I simply stamped a coordinating sentiment and the adorable little bunny image, colored with Stampin’ Blends. I had an extra die cut tree and stars from the front of the card, so I just popped them inside. Much better than them going to waste, right?
I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday November 25th, 2022.
