Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, Jaydee is hosting our Sketch Challenge.
Sketch Challenges are always my favorite! I especially love this one because it is a simple layout with a lot of possibility! At first I wasn’t sure I wanted to make a square card with this sketch but then thought “what the heck!” since I rarely make them. I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create with this fun sketch!
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
For my card, I decided to use one of my FAVORITE bundles in the January - April Mini Catalog, the Share a Milkshake stamp set and coordinating dies. Everything about this bundle just makes me happy. I am smitten with the cute images and the playful font on the sentiments! It’s so fun to build up the little milkshake and ice cream images. Gotta love those little details, right?
I just love that pop of pattern behind the images, the little bubbles work perfectly and tie the colors together. That pattern is part of the Rain or Shine Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also used the Flower’s & More Host Exclusive DSP for the blue and pink pattern (inside the card). This is a really fun paper pack that has floral designs on one side and basic “everyday” patterns on the other. I really like how this card came out and I hope you do as well. You can’t go wrong when sweet treats are involved! :-)
Card Measurements & Details:
- Tahitian Tide Card Base: 5” x 10”, scored at 5"
- Polished Pink Cardstock: 4-7/8” x 4-7/8”

- Stamp cherries in Sweet Sorbet and Crumb Cake
- Stamp glasses in Crumb Cake - solid image stamped-off once and detailed image full-strength
- Early Espresso Cardstock: small scrap for die-cut “chocolate”
- Basic White Cardstock: 2-1/8” x 1/2”, stamp sentiment in Soft Suede ink and banner punch both ends with Banners Pick A Punch
- White Glittered Organdy Ribbon & In Color Opal Rounds
- Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 4-3/4” x 4-3/4”
- Flowers & More Host Exclusive Designer Series Paper (card interior): 4-3/4” x 3/4”
- Flowers & More Host Exclusive Designer Series Paper (card interior): scrap to die-cut hearts
Finally a peek inside the card! I simply added a coordinating sentiment, a strip of DSP and a trio of die cut hearts from another pattern in the DSP pack. This is such a cheery card and reminded me that I need to use Tahitian Tide more often than I do. Haha! I think it would be a fun birthday card and I know exactly who I’m sending it to!
