Zany Zoo for PP641

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Joanne is hosting our Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge.
This was a fun challenge! As someone who tends to struggle with CAS cards, having a theme of only using ONE of an image seemed to resonate with me. Selecting the single image was a little tough though. So many stamps to choose from!

I finally decided to use the new Zany Zoo stamps and dies from the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. Because, let’s just throw it out there…it just doesn’t get more fun than a crocodile riding a bike, WITH a basket of flowers. How does he balance on that bike? Nobody knows. His little legs don’t even reach the pedals! Haha! But he sure is cute and that’s all that really matters. I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!
Color Combo:
I added a layer to the card base (shh!) because I wanted some texture. It’s the same color as the card base so does it really even count? ;) Next up, I needed a a little “road” for the crocodile to  ride on, so I added a strip of the whimsical Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper. I popped on a little Bubble Bath mat behind the DSP layer with one side die-cut with the Basic Borders Dies. I thought the stitched, pointed edges mimicked the crocodile’s teeth and scales…and even the sentiment banner “tails”.

This is just a cute card to send to a friend to brighten their day. I love how it came together and I hope you do as well!
I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Clean-and-Simple (CAS) ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday May 26th, 2023

  3. I love your cute cycling croc Anne Marie and I think the single focal point is a great way to keep things CAS (it allows for a little background texture and DSP whilst still keeping a minimalist feel ;-) ) Great colour scheme too!
