Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, I am super-excited to be hosting our Theme Challenge.
I decided to go with a “Let’s Give Thanks” theme this week. Cards of gratitude are something we all need and always appreciated by the recipient. So, if you have some “thank you’s” to create, they are perfect for this challenge. Plus, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, it’s a great time to get those cards made, too. I sure hope you will take this challenge for a spin and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!
*I’ve shared measurements and a full supply list of products used to create this card at the end of this post.
For my card, I decided to use the (new to me) Graceful Deer stamp set from the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog. I just love this peaceful woodland scene and that the image has so much beautiful detail to it. Originally I had planned to color the image, but really liked how it looked simply stamped. I added some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to all of the “snow” on the ground which really adds some beautiful sparkle which is tough to capture in the photos.
The beautiful Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper is a lovely compliment to the stamped image and I also embossed the Smoky Slate background layer with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder for added texture. I popped in a tiny strip of Silver Glimmer Paper to accent the sentiment and finished things off with a little silver bow and some Iridescent Basic Pearls. I love how this one came out and I hope you do as well.
Measurements and Details:
- Basic Gray Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
- Lost Lagoon Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”, 2-7/8” x 4-5/8” and scrap for die-cut sentiment
- Smoky Slate Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8” (embossed with Timber 3D Embossing Folder)
- Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper: 1-3/4” x 5-1/8” and 3/4” x 5-1/4”
- Basic White Cardstock: 2-3/4” x 4-1/2” and 4” x 5-1/4”
Finally, a peek inside the card. I simply added a strip of DSP and a coordinating sentiment from the So Sincere stamp set. While I had everything out, I whipped up a dozen more of these to use for my team swaps later this month. Hooray for multi-tasking!
I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our ”Let’s Give Thanks” Theme Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday November 10th, 2023.
