Sending Ladybug Luck for PP681

Happy Sunday crafty friends!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Joanne is hosting our  Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge.

Clean-and-Simple week, we meet again. Muahahahaha! “Good Luck” cards are always great to have on hand, so I was excited for this challenge. As usual, I had to exercise some restraint with the addition of more and more layers, but I think did ok this week. I added a little strip of Designer Series paper to the card base simply because I wanted to break up all of that Poppy Parade a little bit. It got the job done without adding too much bulk. I sure hope you will join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

*I’ve shared the supply list of products used to create this card at the end of this post.

Color Combo:
For my card, I went on a little scavenger hunt in my craft room to find a “good luck” sentiment. I actually found more than I thought I had, which was kind of a surprise. You have to love when that happens, right?  I went with the sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set from the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog and just masked off a few of the extra words to make it fit on the smaller sentiment label. I also love this set because of the large “Sending” dies which really pack a punch on a card. what can I say, I like big sentiments and I cannnot lie…sing along with me! Haha!

Initially I was thinking going for a St. Patrick's Day vibe but then I came upon the Hello Ladybug stamp set and Ladybug Builder Punch. Ladybugs are good luck, right? So, that’s how the theme of my card was born. I popped a little piece of Zoo Crew DSP on the card front because that swirly pattern worked well with the little ladybugs.

I also added a simple score line at 1/4” on all sides of the white layer for some texture which also kept within the Clean-and-Simple theme. It’s a simple little detail but it really adds so much to the card. I also popped in some leaves using the Bough Punch to bring in a little more color. I trimmed the leaves down a bit because less was more for this card. I love how it came together and I hope you do as well.

Finally, here is a peek inside the card! I added a narrow strip of DSP along with a little stamped ladybug to keep the parry going from the front of the card. Those little ladybug feet make me smile, so cute!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Clean-and-Simple “Good Luck" ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday March 22nd, 2024
