Positive Inkers Blog Hop - August 2023

Hello Stamping Friends! I’m thrilled to join the fabulous Positive Inkers Design Team for our August 2023 Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the globe who are super-excited to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!

If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in San Antonio, Texas. Welcome!
Our theme for this month is: 2023-2025 In Colors

The new 2023-2025 In Colors from Stampin’ Up!® are gorgeous! They are a little more on the rich and earthy side, which I will admit, I wasn’t so sure of when I first saw them. But the more I have had a chance to play with them, the more they have grown on me. Well, all but one (I’m talking about you, Wild Wheat) so it was important for me to try to use it in some part on my project for the hop. I managed to use 4 of the 5 new In Colors on my card today. I actually left out my favorite color, Boho Blue, and I’m not sure how that happened. Sometimes you just have to go where the creative inspiration takes you, right?

*I’ve listed details for my projects below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
For my project today, I decided to use the Darling Details stamp set and coordinating dies. I’m a little obsessed with this set lately. I just love all of the fun, whimsical flowers along with the leaves and foliage that coordinate. There are some wonderful scalloped frames and borders in the dies, too which really add to the versatility of the set.

I decided to add one of those frames as the focal point for my card and dress it up with some fab floral detail. I just love how the flowers and leaves layer together so nicely. In addition to using 4 of the In Colors for the stamping, I also pieced in some little leaves die-cut from the More Dazzle Specialty Paper. Somebody really needs to slap this paper out of my hands because I can’t stop using it. It’s super sparkly so a little bit goes a long way. I just love popping little bits of it onto my projects for that little something extra. I added a little sentiment to the label die-cut from the Cheerful Daisies Dies along with a textured background using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder. This is just a fun birthday card and I have the perfect person to send it to!
I hope you enjoyed my project today and that you are inspired to create with your favorite new In Colors, too! Please stop by to visit everyone on the hop and leave us a comment to say hello. We’d all love to hear from you and so appreciate you stopping by. If you are following the hop, my sweet friend Jo Blackman in the UK is your next destination.

We are also doing an Instagram hop today and I’d love to have you check it out. If you aren’t already following me on Instagram, you can find me HERE

May 2022 - Stamping Sunday Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends! Today, I’m super-excited to share the May 2022 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This hop is hosted by Sara Levin and we share on the second Sunday of every month. Our theme for the month is “Color Crush” where we are showcasing the new 2022-2024 In Colors from the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.
The new In Colors are absolutely gorgeous and I’ve really been enjoying creating with them already! Initially, I thought that Sweet Sorbet was going to be my favorite, but I have to admit that Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky have been the colors that I seem to be using the most right now.
I’m currently smitten with the new Nature’s Prints stamp set and coordinating Natural Prints Dies that just came out this past week in the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog! Funny thing was, I never intended to get this bundle initially but it was going to work perfectly for a technique at an event I did last month. Because of that, I HAD to add it to my demonstrator pre-order and let me tell you, I’m so happy I did! I have already used it a LOT and it is quickly becoming a “go to” bundle in my stamp studio.

All of the measurements for my project are listed below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this blog post.
Color Combo:
The Sun Prints Designer Series Paper that is featured with this suite of products is truly gorgeous! I just love the deep blues and soft patterns. I decided to heat emboss a couple of the stamped images and then die cut a few more of the leafy accents from the In Color Glimmer Paper. There is really a lot of fun detail on this card…I hope it comes through in the photos. :)
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Starry Sky Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Sun Prints Designer Series Paper: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Vellum Cardstock: 2-7/8” x 4-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to die cut a 2-5/8” x 4” rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Flick some ink spots on the background using Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends, then flick some Wink of Stella dots on the background for some added sparkle.
  • Starry Sky Cardstock: scrap to stamp large leaf image in Versamark and heat emboss with white embossing powder
  • Vellum Cardstock: scrap to stamp the smaller leafy image in Versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder
  • 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper: scrap of Starry Sky to die cut leafy springs (two large, two small) from Natural Prints Dies
  • Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon and Iridescent Pearls
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp sentiment in Starry Sky ink and die cut using the label in the Natural Prints Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”, stamp leafy branch in Starry Sky ink
  • Sun Prints Designer Series Paper (inside card): 1/2” x 5-1/4”
Here’s a little peek inside the card! I simply added a little strip of Sun Prints Designer Series Paper and a stamped image to dress it up a little. I left the rest blank to add a handwritten note.
Color Combo:
For my second project, I decided to focus on Orchid Oasis as the focal color, still using the Nature’s Prints stamp set and Natural Prints Dies. In lieu of Designer Series Paper, I decided to keep the background a little more simple by using Basic White Cardstock embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. This folder really adds a lot of texture and detail! I also popped in some Smoky Slate for another layer on the card. I just love this color paired with gray for a clean and classic look. What do you think?
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Orchid Oasis Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss with Fern 3D Embossing Folder
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 1/2”
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp leaf image and sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink, die cut with Natural Prints Dies
  • 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper: scrap of Orchid Oasis to die cut leafy springs (two large, two small) from Natural Prints Dies
  • Add Wink of Stella to the large leaf image for added sparkle
  • Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon and Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • Basic White Cardstock (inside card, not shown): 4” x 5-1/4”
I had some very special thank you cards to make, so I actually created quite a few of these to mail out. The little pops of sparkle throughout this card really make it pop in person.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! Please continue along on the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop to check out more awesome creative inspiration.
